“I grew up in Dominican Republic where my mom and I rescued any animal we saw in on the streets, and took them in as our own. She taught me at a very young age to care for them each individually; and moving to DC 9 years ago has made me miss that. I have been caring for friends’ pets for a while now but would like to make it more regular. I have an epileptic dog back home, therefore I know the challenges that may come with each unique furry friend.
