Pet care experience
I’ve recently lost my best friend of 17.5 years because of old age. Zoe was my lifelong buddy and no one will ever replace her in my heart. I decided to use Rover as a way to express the love and compassion I had for Zoe and to give dogs the TLC they deserve. They truly are family and after losing Zoe, I have this void that I want to fill. I watch my cousins golden doodle sparingly, so I miss having that consistent buddy next to me. I’m not personally ready to take on the full financial responsibility of a pet as I am currently in an accelerated BSN program at Felician University with graduation in December 2020. While I am home studying all day, I do have the time to care for dogs. I do not work, so I am pretty open and flexible with my daily schedule as my program is mostly online. I hope to gain knowledge and information about different dog breeds so that when I am ready to have a new buddy in my life, I’ll be fully prepared! My only downside is I have clinical rotations on Sundays at the hospital from 7am-7pm so Sundays are not good for me!

Alexa has watched our dog numerous times for short and long vacations. She is responsible and reliable. She is always so loving towards our dog. From the first time she interacted with her I could tell our dog felt at ease with her , which made us feel 100 percent comfortable having Alexa watch her while we are away. We are so thankful we have Alexa to take care of our precious pup !
Alexa has a heart of gold. She has a compassionate personality who loves animals. She treated her dog Zoe as if she was more of a sibling than a pet. Wherever alexa was in the house you can be sure her Zoe was right there with her. She is a trustworthy person who would treat any animal with a loving compassionate heart. I strongly would recommend her to sit for other people’s pets
Alexa was so kind and gentle with our new puppy. We felt completely comfortable leaving her with him after we watch them interact just for a few short minutes. We came back to a spotless house with no accidents and a very happy, well-kept pup!

A typical day
I am an avid runner; I run about 8-10 miles 3x a week so I thoroughly enjoy staying active outside. I live in a suburban neighborhood and love running around it. My town has a lake that many people take pets to walk around and there’s numerous amounts of parks that are walking distance. If the owner and dog does not mind car rides, I usually like to go to the Ramapo reservation and other Reservations for hikes!
