Pet care experience
I am so very passionate about bringing joy to your pets day while you’re away! I have many years of experience in caring for and working with animals, especially dogs, through growing up in a farm life setting. My professional background started from volunteering through Animal Shelters around the West Coast as a dog walker through a volunteer program called Americorps National Civilian Community Corporation (NCCC). Where I had the opportunity to assist in socializing and helping train dogs so they could be rescued to great homes with loving families. Here are some of those locations: • BrightSide Animal Center in Redmond, Oregon •Humane Society of Central Oregon in Bend, Oregon •Lemhi County Humane Society in Salmon, Idaho From there I grew further through local employment in Denver, Colorado as a city dog and cat walker/sitter with a company called Out-U-Go. I have traveled around quite a bit in my life and my passion for providing the best care for clients and their best friends has always remained. I love to send updates throughout my visits and am very detail-oriented. It’s so much fun to get to bring excitement to your pets days in the times you’re away. Cannot recommend Alexa enough. I have two doodles that I get very nervous about leaving with a sitter but Alexa is truly truly the best and I will 100% be booking her again. She gave them excellent attention, long walks, gave meds as needed and kept me updated with pictures and texts the whole time. My dogs are like my children and I rarely find anyone that I’m comfortable leaving them with- I could not be more grateful that I found Alexa. My girls loved her, too- I’m fairly certain they were a bit disappointed when she left and I came back home! :)
Alexa was a godsend. I’m naturally anxious and scared about having people in my house, but Alexa stayed multiple nights and honestly, it was the best thing. Her communication was top notch, and when my travel plans change she was very quick and willing to adjust. I would rebook Alexa in a heartbeat. I came home so some happy fur babies and a cleaner house than I left it. I also feel like I made a new friend in Alexa. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Alexa is amazing! I think our dogs like her more than us after spending 11 days with her house sitting. She sent great updates and went above and beyond in caring for our two senior gals. On top of all of that, Alena left the house in better condition than we left it. Can’t recommend her enough!!

I have no particular breed preferences. I love knowing as much as I can about any dog I work with. Like do they know any tricks? Allergies? How are they around other dogs? There’s no judgment on their needs and your preferences. This is just as much about making them comfortable as it is for you. Any information is much appreciated.
A typical day
Long walks, big bursts of play and local parks/trails will be the way! I love doing what they love to do, whether it’s being outside in the sunshine or taking it easy indoors. Giving your furry friend a dose of fun is my favorite thing to see from the sniff of their nose to the wag of their tale. My favorite part about spending time with dogs is playing with them. From fetch, tag or tug of war, you name it — If they’re more of a slow mover, I am happy to spend some quality time just attending to whatever they feel like doing + lots of rubs included!

Availability
I currently have a very flexible schedule. I work at a local Garden Nursery a few hours a week. You can schedule me throughout any day of the week. Morning and/or evening. Just let me know your hours and I’m happy to be there when you need me.
