Pet care experience
*Temporarily in Leander. Happy to help!* I grew up in Minnesota with hunting dogs (lots of energy and running!!) and have had dogs my whole life (most recently a border collie/husky mix). I understand dogs are family and they deserve good love and care. I started dog/housesitting a few years ago while living in Alaska, in addition to my full time job. I have done it in MN here and there as friends and family have needed and have built a consistent roster of regulars. I enjoy not only taking care of dogs, but helping families out when they can't be with their pups. I've worked with dogs of all breeds/sizes (I have no fear of or objection to any breeds) and ages. I'm comfortable with multiple dogs as well. I like to stay active, so I enjoy walking dogs. I'm also familiar with basic training, especially for walking. I’m currently traveling so my location is changing as I explore and work remotely.

Thank you to Alexa for a week of twice a day check-ins of Sophie, our cat. She sent pictures every time she was here which were reassuring. We have had Alexa previously for house-sitting of our cat and dog and been happy every time. This time we brought our dog with us camping, so just our cat at home.
Alexa is invaluable to me in helping me take care of my dogs when I'm away. I have used her multiple times for both in-home stays and for drop-ins and walks.
Another terrific stay with our pets! Alexa takes great care of our dog and cat, and keeps us updated with fun pics. We’ll definitely book with her again!

Routines, norms, and rules are important to know. Anything you’re working on or how you’re managing certain issues (potty training, barking, separation anxiety, socialization, etc). Commands are good to know. Personality of the dog, things they like and don’t like. And any history you want to share. Love to know any « naughty » habits or history. :)
A typical day
I will follow routines as much as possible - walks, feeding times, treats, bedtime, etc. I personally love to walk, especially exploring new neighborhoods. I know this is important to stick with. If I’m doing remote/virtual work I would imagine pups can hangout with me and still get lots of attention.

Availability
My schedule is currently open, as I’m traveling and exploring, and looking for remote work as I do so. There’s plenty of time on my hands to care for animals. Lots of walks and attention!
