Pet care experience
I have cared for and loved dogs and cats since the age of 4 years old. I took care of my own pup, Snooky, and also pet sat for numerous neighbors and family members. I have worked at Pet Supplies Plus for the last three years where I have been trained in dog and cat nutrition, dog and cat training, along with dog and cat general health. For two years (2013-2015) I pet sat for a couple in the Chicago area and stayed with their dog and two cats while they left on three week vacations every couple of months. It was a wonderful and fulfilling experience and I would have continued but I moved for college.

Alexa is a huge dog lover and always wants to get to know the dogs and wants to make sure that she is giving them the best care that she can. She is always ready to help someone and their pet. She is also super friendly and willing to meet any kind of dog.
Alexa, is a highly organized, on time individual. I worked with her at the pet store and she is highly trained with animals. I would hire her in a heartbeat.

I live very close to the Illinois State Campus so daily walks around the beautiful campus are wonderful and the surrounding neighborhoods are safe and pedestrian friendly! I live in a gated apartment so security is wonderful and safe. I live with three other girls and they LOVE dogs and cats. They are there to give them extra love and snuggles and someone is always home.

I would love to know what kind of pace your dog prefers: fast or calm? Does your pup love to play? What does he or she love to do? Are they uncomfortable around lots of people? Or do they prefer a more solitary walk? I am open to hear whatever you want to tell me about your pup :)
A typical day
I love to explore and I know that dogs love to explore where their noses take them! (I explore parks and trails that are safe and in the community) I will be taking your dog on a nice walk or a jog (whichever your pup prefers!) through the Illinois State University Campus or on the local trails that are around throughout the town. If your pup loves to play fetch then I am all for a game of fetch or if your dog enjoys a more leisurely pace, then a nice slow pace walk and time to sniff the world around will be great. Dogs love nature and I love to help them safely enjoy their surroundings :)

Availability
I am currently a student at Illinois State University where I am studying to become a high school History/Social Science teacher. I have classes throughout the week but I have large time breaks between classes which gives me time to give adequate and loving care to your cuddly kitties and pups! I am free on weekends starting on Fridays and I’m flexible throughout the week.
