I care for pets by continuing the care pet parents provide but applying it to my own care standards—usually higher than pet parents'. By this I mean: feeding schedules are maintained, but I make sure to wash pet-food plates with each feeding, which is not something pet parents are always aware of, but it does affect the quality of life of pets. One of my favorite pass times is also watching nature documentarie, which as a birder, is a favorite with cats too. But I don't just watch TV with your pets! I'm also very big on cuddling and petting, but also play! If you don't have toys for your pets to play with, I bring my own (we can review together which toys are allowed). Lastly, I can be described as one of those people who get along better with animals than with humans, and though that's true, I'm sure as fellow animal lovers we'll get along too! The thing that sets me apart: I study an animal's behavior and find ways to speak to it, ie. if I see a cat is particularly alert and anxious around loud noises, I don't make loud noises, and I am open to helping pet parents understand their pets better. I really do speak cat! But I really want to understand dog-speak as well, so open to learning there!
