Hi, I'm Alexa! An Oconomowoc transplant after spending most of my adult life in Chicago. I am a tourism marketer by trade but I LOVE spending my free time with animals - you'll absolutely find me in the corner of any party giving the dog belly scratches. I have been passionate about animal care my entire life and have owned nearly every pet -from dogs, to horses, to ferrets...and even a sugar glider. As an obsessed dog mom myself, I am empathetic to the anxiety that often comes with finding someone to care for your pets with the same compassion and enthusiasm that you do. My hope is that you will find comfort in my unwavering love for animals and passion for helping pets live their best possible lives. I am highly reliable, responsible, personable and trustworthy and am more than happy to provide references upon request. I look forward to meeting your fur babies soon!

Alexa took wonderful care of my dog Zoey. Zoey has very high anxiety but she fell in love with Alexa. She was always so happy to see Alexa and I never worried when Zoey was in her care. She is so kind and caring to her furry friends and I also felt a special connection with her. I miss her so much because of relocation and anyone would be so lucky to have her care for your fur baby!
Alexa was wonderful. She came and stayed at my house for a few nights while out of town. She treated my very energetic lab like her own, constantly giving me updates/pictures along the way. I felt at ease knowing my dog was being spoiled at home while I was away. Will definitely be using her in the future!
Alexa was so great with our two dogs. Our older dog had surgery a couple weeks before she took care of them and she went above and beyond to help. She gave her medications and made sure she had everything she needed and was ok. This dog also does not like when I go away and she hides for most people and won’t go outside. Not with Alexa. She loved her and was excited to see her. She put up with our puppy too. Alexa communicated with me a lot and sent me pics. She was just so loving at snuggly and both dogs couldn’t get enough of her. It was so nice to have piece of mind when I was away knowing that they were being loved up and taken care of. I will use her every time I need someone from now on. She’s the best!
Alexa was amazing! We were in a bind & needed someone last minute. After reading her reviews I was thoroughly impressed! We have two 100+ great danes & they both LOVED her! Even my skittish 4 year old dane who is scared of ants ran right up to her. We will definitely have Alexa back for future needs!

What is important to know ahead of time? it is extremely important to me to understand a dogs preferences before sitting/walking so they truly get the best possible experience from a sitter. Any noteworthy quirks/behavioral traits, favorite activities they enjoy (and those that they don't), any habits/challenges your actively working on with your pet that I should help reinforce, etc. I do not necessarily have any breed preferences but I am unfortunately unable to dogsit/dogwalk for pets who have shown aggression issues toward humans.
A typical day
Describe a typical day: I think it is important to work with a pet's parent(s) to discuss their level of activity, interactions with other dogs and favorite interests. For more active pets I am happy to explore nearby parks, hiking trails and beaches where I spend most of my time with my pup. For more docile pets, a picnic in the park, simple "bye bye" ride in the car, or couch snuggles with lots of affection sound perfect!

My schedule: I do work a full time job remotely but have the flexibility for daily check-ins, walks and occasional overnight visits in your home.
