Pet care experience
I got my first dog, GG, about 13 years ago and have taken care of her since she was a puppy. She's a medium-sized, terrier chow mix living in Georgia, where I'm originally from. I'm now looking to take care of other people's pets in the DMV area. My roommate is a dog owner, and I've had plenty of experience taking care of her pup too. I live in Tenleytown and am currently between jobs, so my schedule is flexible. I love being outside (especially in this fall weather), so long walks are welcome. I am open to all breeds and am happy to pet-sit for longer periods of time as well. After having a dog for so long, I know pets are part of the family- I intend to care for your dog as I would care for mine!

Alexa is the best dog sitter and walker! I have a rather particular pup when it comes to people she likes, who she'll let walk her and where she likes to go to the bathroom and my pup's in love with Alexa. (She may cry more when Alexa walks in the house than she does me.) I also travel a lot and it means the world to not worry about my little one when Alexa's her caretaker. Highly recommend!

I do not have any breed preferences, however I do prefer that the dog not be overly aggressive. I'd like to know if your dog requires any special care, as well as his/her energy levels, in addition to how well it gets along with other dogs. Lastly, I'd like to know if there is anything in particular that scares your dog or causes anxiety (my childhood dog was afraid of everything, so I can certainly handle it!)
A typical day
Considering DC is filled with trails and parks, I am happy to walk/jog/play with your dog at any nearby green areas.
