Pet care experience
*Please read until the end* Hi! My name is Alexa and I am currently attending Carleton University for a Bachelor of Law. I have been with Rover for 3 years now and have sat for many wonderful client. I joined because I love all animals and wanted to expand my dog sitting career. I have been slowly building up a client base and have watched some wonderful dogs and cats and I’d love to watch your fur babies for you! I know it can be a little scary letting someone into your home but I always meet with my clients before they go on vacation to make sure they are 100% comfortable. I always send photos throughout the stay and am willing to work with you so you can enjoy your vacation! Please feel free to send me a message if you have any questions, I look forward to hearing from you! I like to be as transparent with my clients as possible so I want to make my potential clients aware that I do have a part time job where I work 3-4 days a week. With that being said, sometimes I may be gone for a few hours a day. This can be anywhere from 3 hours to 8 hours max. I hope you can understand as after Rover takes their fees, I am not making as much as you are initially paying for! I would be happy to discuss times and my schedule as I am pretty flexible!

Do Not Recommend - I have a Nest Doorbell which captured her boyfriend staying over at my home without my knowledge, leaving the dogs for extremely long periods of time (did not stay over the first night so dogs we’re alone for 17 hours) which led to them peeing on my carpet and one of my dogs getting sick from the stress.
Alex was great. She sent photos and looked after our home and pig very well. Alex handled a power outage like a champ.
NEVER AGAIN. Hired to house sit for 5 days. Positive to start: house was spotless, respectful, friendly with dog. BUT: i have a rescue with health issues. Routine and feeding schedule are VERY important and this was very clear. She would leave for 10hrs at a time, she didn’t take him out for over 14hrs at times and missed 2 dinners in 5 days because she was gone. Walked him at most 2 times a day vs agreed 3, and once for 1 min only after he’d been alone 10 hours and unfed. We flew back at 10pm. We’d asked that she take him out later (4:30) because we’d be home late and she could leave after feeding him at 6:00pm: she took him out at 2:00 and left at 3:00 leaving him alone, locked up and without dinner. Horrible care despite clear instructions.

I would like to know of any medication they may be taking. I love all dogs so no breed preferences! I have experience with ear medication, insulin, pills and others as well! I would like to know about feeding schedules and how they eat their food (raw diet, veggies, etc.) How they are with other dogs for walks

I take my own dog around the running track of the high school I live by. I can take your dog on activities you normally do with them!
