Pet care experience
As far as my experience: In addition to our own dog my family has been fostering dogs since I was young. I worked a seasonal position at a dog daycare and boarding facility a few years ago. While that environment was a bit too chaotic for me, I found that I am comfortable, confident, and enthusiastic working with all types of dogs. Any breed, any size. When I adopted my own dog as an adult I became incredibly interested in dog training. I enjoy the challenge of finding their currency and learning style. Are they motivated by food, attention, praise, play? I find it helpful to learn as much as possible about your dog's particular breed(s), using their natural tendencies as a part of the training/reward process and to channel/ drain the dog's energy in an appropriate manner. For example, doing nose work with scent hounds. Or burying a terrier's toy in a sandbox allowing them to dig it out. Most importantly, I respect a dog's individuality as it relates to boundaries, limits, and thresholds. My availability is flexible.
Reviews
Alex has watched my furbabies :2 dogs and 2 cats over the yeas. He has always able to adapt to each pets personality and needs. He knows a lot about nutrition and behavior which has helped me as a pet owner. He is always on time and has never stood us up.

Information Alex T. would like to know about your pet
Mainly how they need to be walked and how you would like them to be walked. Is the dog leash reactive? Do we need to keep a certain distance from other dogs while we're out walking? Whether you would prefer a brisk, distance-based walk or a slow, sniff-around saunter.
A typical day
Scent games! Hunting for treats! Hide and seek!
