Pet care experience
I’ve been a pet sitter and walker for over 15 years and have loved every minute. After becoming a dog owner at 8, I started taking care of my neighbor’s cats when I was 9 — thank you Kirika and Luna for being the best first clients! I’m currently studying for a certification exam so I have plenty of free time to take care of your family members. I’ve always had a strong bond with animals due to growing up with house and farm pets, and can’t imagine life without them. I’ve owned and cared for dogs & cats with many different needs and backgrounds. I have growing experience with birds, lizards, snakes, and hamsters!; so I’m happy to care for your other pets as well. I understand how stressful it can be to find a sitter/walker — patience and reliability are incredibly valuable with pet care. I strive to do what I can to make pet owners I work for feel confident they have a responsible and loving person spending time with their family members. I’ve had one high-anxiety dog, another with myriad medical issues (& a ton of exuberance. *So* much behavioral training!), and am well-versed in the world of dogs who need a little extra attention. I have experience administering oral, topical, and injected medications, as well as adhering to strict diets and routines. I provide daily videos and photos of your pet’s adventures while you’re away — animal photography might be the next step! My schedule is flexible- I can do early morning to late night drop ins and walks. If you work a night shift, I can be available. I’m happy to do house sitting and daycare, or set up a walking schedule. I’ve taken care of many kinds of pups, in both breed & personality- tiny chihuahuas to Great Danes and huge, energetic goldendoodles and boxers! I’ve worked with puppies who were in the process of training, as well as having my own, and always communicate with their owner to ensure I’m being consistent with their training practices. Sticking to your pet’s routine is important to me, as is loving them like they’re my own! A safe and secure pet is a happy pet, and I do everything I can to meet them where they’re at!
Reviews
Alex has taken good care of our kitties twice now, and also taken good pictures of them. Thank you!
Alex was fantastic! Sent so many great photos everyday. She really made me feel secure knowing my dog was being given love and attention at all times.
Alex was a fantastic catsitter. She is kind, detail oriented, and it was clear my cats loved her. Alex stayed at my apartment and left it super clean, which is nice to come home to. I would recommend Alex to anyone who is looking for pet care.
Alex was very responsive, kept our house just as clean as we left it, and sent lots of updates along the way. She got along great with our 65 lb staffy that needs some TLC while walking due to dog selectivity.

I like to stick to your pet’s usual routines and schedules to keep them comfy and happy! I understand animals who need more one on one time so am happy to adjust my schedule to accommodate. Any rules, training guidelines to follow, consistent feed/walk times etc. are all a priority - I find animals are the happiest when they have their typical day to day while I’m with them. Keeping the pets & home safe and clean are a must. The pets always get a fun vacation themselves!
Information Alex T. would like to know about your pet
Any former aggressive/reactive behavior, anxiety issues (I prefer the term “quirks!”), medical history etc. are helpful to know. I love hearing about their favorite toys, treats, friends, and walk spots! It’s great to know how they routinely interact with the world so I can accommodate their needs and help them (and you!) feel comfortable with me.
A typical day
I’m between Laurelhurst and Tabor and am in a quiet, low traffic neighborhood. I’m happy to take high energy dogs on a run or jog, or out to the park. I’m often outdoors and welcome canine company! Play time and snuggles are a must, especially any specific games/toys they like. I’m currently studying & attempting to master a few art projects, so the kitties get “work from home” energy from me unless I’m out for errands!

Availability
I’m currently studying and am home full-time, so time with pets comes first! I can be available short notice or later at night (I know it’s tough to find a sitter or walker with an inconsistent or unusual work schedule) as I like to prioritize my work with animals. I space out my bookings to allow for flexibility on my end with your travel schedule.
