I work full-time in pet and farm care with experience in personal pets (dogs & cats), horses, guinea pigs, rabbits, fresh/salt water aquariums, cows, chickens, goats, and more. I'm experienced managing medical conditions, behavioral challenges (like food aggression or anxiety), newborns, & elderly. Open to all breeds, sizes, and ages of dogs, and familiar with a variety of training methods.

Alex did a wonderful job with our older dog and puppy! She is a great communicator and takes initiative. Our dogs were very content when we came home and our house was just as we left it. We'll definitely hire Alex again!
Alex is amazing! She happily met up with us for a first-time meet and greet and was so kind, and you could immediately tell she is wonderful with animals. We really appreciated her taking the time to do that! Alex sent us great updates and photos, and she helped Millie have an awesome day doing all of her favorite things! We so appreciate her and can’t wait to have her play with Millie again.
Alex is always considerate in her check-ins, offering lots of pics and detailed information about the drop-in. She is super mindful in her visit and never robotic--not afraid to spend a little more quality time with the pups as opposed to those merely fitting sit-ins into "their" schedule--which speaks volumes about her love for animals. She's also flexible and easy to communicate with, her response time, exceptional.
Not having had a pet sitter before, I was leery of having someone come into our home to check on our very skittish cat. We had a meet and greet with Alex. She listened to our concerns, took notes and reassured us that our cat would be taken care of and loved, even if she was hiding. True to her word the pictures Alex sent us daily showed our cat , while still being very shy, out and about. Not hiding. We are very appreciative that Alex took the time to talk to our cat, and all the other daily chores of taking care of a cat. We will definitely use Alex again when the need arises.

A typical day
I really prioritize helping the pups stay on as normal a routine as possible while you're gone. I also emphasize their favorite games (I love chuck its!), going on engaging walks, and lots of getting loved on. I love to leave a pup with chew sticks, kongs, and other occupying treat balls.

Availability
I love building my day around animal care! I care for my own animals (cats, goats, chickens, pony) and work part-time at a horse barn 3 mornings a week. As winter settles in with my outdoor animals to care for, I am focusing on providing more drop-in services to care for your animals 2-3 times a day. My average drop in is 45 minutes and you will receive happy photos from each one! Stay tuned for dog boarding options with me in 2022!
