Hi there, I'm Alex, and I have lived with and loved dogs my entire life. My family and I have owned a dachshund, french bulldog mix, dalmation, golden retriever, and my current pitbull/husky mix who is my world. For the past year I have been a regular volunteer at Heavenly Angels Animal Rescue, where I have cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments (including those with fear and aggression issues). I have fostered several dogs in my home through the shelter as well. I live with my girlfriend, Tanya, my dog, and two cats. Tanya and I are both college educated and have/are working on our Master's degrees. We live two blocks from Forest Park and the Forest Park dog run, and we are both home for the summer, so rest assured that your dog will get plenty of attention, exercise, and love. I have known Alex for the past several years as a friend and co-worker, and have also visited his home on several occasions. I can tell you that not only is he a very honest and hardworking individual, but he is also extremely caring and devoted to all things animal related. His pets include a dog (pit mix) and 2 cats, all who are very loved and well taken care of, but he also volunteers at an animal rescue group and fosters dogs in need of homes. He has such a kind and caring heart and treats them all like his children. I asked him to watch my own dog for a couple of days as a personal favor when I was going out of town recently and he took fantastic care of her, sending pictures and frequent updates and going out of his way to take her on extra long walks, play with her, and even brought her to the dog park along with his dog (with my permission). I felt very comfortable entrusting my dog in his care as I know that he is a very responsible person and would never let anything happen to her and would take great care of her.
I'm fortunate to know Alex for a couple of years now. He is a very kind and loving pet owner. I have seen his interactions with his pets first hand. He is a loving, caring, and responsible individual. His pets are loved, well groomed, and well fed. Alex also takes the time to volunteer at shelters, foster pets, and help out with their events to help pets find good homes. I trust Alex with my pets and I couldn't recommend him more to other dog "parents" who need excellent care for their dogs in order to go to work or vacation - or just need a break. :-)

*Free pick up/drop off and bath!* Tanya and I are very hands-on and involved in our care. Expect your dog to get lots of attention, loving and exercise. Your dog is our guest of honor, and will be treated as such! We live only two blocks away from Forest Park, so your pup will get plenty of nature to explore, and we can also take your dog to the dog run if you'd like at no additional charge. We will also send daily pics/vids so you can see how well your pup is doing! I am very hands-on in my approach to dog sitting. Expect your pup to get lots of attention, love, and exercise!
