I need some fluff back in my life!
Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Alex, and although my Rover profile may not have a ton of reviews, and has been inactive for the past year, I do have lot of experience under my belt in pet care. I have walked over 500 dogs, and have boarded close to 100 dogs in my home. I even drove a pair of pooches to San Francisco to their new home once! Like many others, the past year has been very strange and full of changes. A surprise move took away my ability to board dogs in my home, and the pandemic made meeting clients or entering their homes very complicated. Not to mention that no one needed pet care services because they were staying home! It's been weird for us all, I'm sure you can relate. But things are looking up! I have been vaccinated, and as of April 12th I will have waited the appropriate amount of time to be considered fully vaccinated. Not having any pets of my own, hanging out with a furry pal has been one of my biggest longings through this whole ordeal. I have also gained some weight since I stopped walking dogs, so getting out and active will be an added bonus. I am hoping that as people start to go back into the office and start travelling again, I can rebuild a client base and eventually make dogs my primary gig again. My other source of work is background acting, which is a flexible gig that allows me to stop and start as needed, depending on my other obligations. I can make myself available for you and your pet! It's helpful to me to have a few days of notice before the service begins, as my calling service frowns upon making myself unavailable at the last second. I used to provide overnight sittings, but I am no longer wanting to stay in other peoples homes overnight, except for already established clients. If you are looking for someone to check in often or stay for most of the day while you are away, we can discuss how we can price that. I know paying for individual check ins or walks multiple times a day can get really expensive, and I can work with you. I love all of my doggie friends that I've made, and I miss them so much. I hope to be able to spend time giving love and attention to your cutest family members! 😄🐶🐾
Reviews
Very respectful of my space. Leaves good report cards and always ask permission before doing anything! Would 100% book again.
Alex was one of my favorite walkers for Boo. She understood the personality of a stubborn German Shepard, who is very protective and believes he is working, even when he is not. She also was concerned for his wellbeing and always made sure he had full bowl of water when she left. Thank you Alex.
Alex and Chaz were wonderful! I so appreciated how they were in communication the entire trip without any prompting from us - sending photos and updates which we love! Our house was perfectly clean when we got home and our pups were very happy! We will definitely be using them again!
Alex was able to take our dog on just a couple of days notification. Everything went as planed. Couldn't have been happier. Would use her again.

I have no preference! I love doggies big and small, and have even boarded a 130 lbs Great Dane before! He was such a lazy sweetheart. I can not accept bookings for dogs that are aggressive toward people, for my own safety and my ability to maintain other clients. Leash aggression toward other dogs is something I can work around by avoiding other dogs on our walks, unless your dog is super big and might drag me down the street! (It's happened before! That was a bad day) Lots of dogs pull when walking, and I have developed a surprisingly strong grip from walking dogs. I'm a big gal but I am not exactly The Rock, so if your dog is extra large, I need them to be a calm walker! I don't mean to be picky or negative, I just want to make sure that your dogs are as safe as possible! I never want to put a dog in danger for my own income, so I have to be honest that I have my limits. Some big doggos need big walkers!
A typical day
If a dog has a "usual" walking path, I try to stick to it, to keep things as close to normal for them as possible. But otherwise, we'll just see where the day takes us! I usually avoid dog parks just to be extra safe.
