Pet care experience
I grew up around dogs, cats, and a variety of smaller pets so feel at ease around pets of all ages and animals in general. I love cats and dogs alike and enjoy getting to know their individual characters. I have one very lovely and cute cat, but have held off getting a dog of my own until I feel more settled in my career. I'm reliable, caring, and sensitive as a caretaker. From looking after and hanging out with friends' pets, I discovered Rover as an excellent opportunity to be around animals more often. As a teacher, I have more open time in the Spring and Summer months. As a pet owner, I value good communication, trustworthiness, and loving attitude for all creatures in my pet sitters, and this is what you will find in me.

We had a very positive experience with Alex. She is an excellent communicator, and wonderful with our dog. He appeared happy and well adjusted during our time away from him, and I know he got lots of pets, walks, and love.
I have a high strung Boston Terrier and Alex manages to wind him down for me when I have an evening engagement and cannot give him the normal, huge amount of attention he requires. She is always sensitive to the behavioral issues I am trying to keep in check and I rely on her good judgement.
Alex is a wonderful sitter! She has both boarded and scheduled drop-ins for my high-strung, curious 2-y/o German Shepherd, Edie, a number of times: both for afternoon visits and multi-day trips. Alex is very attentive, active, communicative and loving. She is always sure to give me a full run down of my pup’s activities, including potty details, where they went for walks, which toys Edie played with and any new interests. Most importantly, Edie loves visiting Alex! I would trust Alex to watch my dog without any hesitation!

If your dog or cat has favorite toys + scratch spots, I'd love to know so I can make my visit with them as fun and comfy as possible in your absence. Equally important are knowing if you pet has any (bad) habits you are trying to work on with them or idiosyncrasies that would allow me to know them better. Also, I am open to having pets on the couch and (made) bed, but if you are not cool with this and don't want to confuse your dog by introducing different habits, I am absolutely fine with that.
