Pet care experience
About me I have good experience of petsitting in Brighton- it's the best job in the world! I love going for walks, but going without a dog feels a bit strange. I adore canine company, and understand that dogs respond to calm, confidence and positivity. Your fur baby is safe with me: I’ll talk to them, play with them and always be clued-in to their needs and behaviour. As well as extensive pet care experience, I've done over a year's volunteering with dogs. This includes a shelter environment, where many had behavioural problems and needed special care. I have also been a volunteer at a dog hotel, where I helped to look after (and spoil!) around thirty guests. I also have good experience of walking reactive dogs. If I'm free, I'm happy to help at short notice. As well as overnight sits I can offer walking, drop in visits or sitting around my part time job. ***Prices can be negotiated!*** *Canine First Aid qualified*

This was our 2nd sit with Alex and we are extremely happy with her. She is super punctual, very reliable, keeps you updated with dog pics and the most important thing is the dogs adore her. Thanks Alex for being superb. We highly recommend her :)
We are lucky to have found Alex. She house-sat for our 3 dogs for half a day. She arranged to meet the dogs before the actual sit, which was really kind of her. Dogs instantly got attached to her, literally too..haha! One of our 3 dogs is a shy one and is very careful when meeting new people. However, she was very pleased to meet Alex for the first time. Alex kept us updated about the dogs and shared pictures, which we are very thankful for. She is reliable and trustworthy. We will not think twice about reaching out to Alex again and highly recommend her. :-)
Alex was a dream pet sitter and a surprise cat whisperer! Our cat Marshmallow is notoriously shy with new people, and has never bonded or enjoyed having pet sitters over when we’re on holiday, which makes it stressful for us to leave her - and no doubt stressful for her to be left! To our delight, every day Alex continued to send us pictures and updates of her and Marshmallow becoming great friends. Marshmallow followed her around the flat and wanted to be cuddled and played with by Alex which was just miraculous considering all updates from previous sitters featured Marshmallow keeping her distance or hiding from them. Alex is an excellent communicator, very considerate and a trustworthy pet sitter who anyone would feel reassured to have taking care of their pet and home. She clearly has a lot of kindness and patience with animals and we would absolutely love to have Alex back again next time we go away. If I could rate her more than 5 stars, I would!
Alex is wonderful. She and Lexi are so good together. They've found friends for life

Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
If your dog is nervous, I can distract them with some games, or simply be a reassuring presence that they can come to when they feel like it. (I once looked after a dog who was terrified of thunder, and during a loud storm I found that singing Johnny Cash calmed her right down.)
Information Alex M. would like to know about your pet
Let me know about your dogs needs and behaviour: for example, what commands do they respond to? Is there anything they are wary or afraid of? If I'm sitting, where are their favourite places in the home? Do they have a favourite toy?
A typical day
If possible, we'll go on a nice long walk! Basically, I'll listen to your dog's needs- give them space if they like, provide cuddles, play games or do some training to engage them.
Services
Alex can watch in your home
Availability
I am generally able to offer pet care at the following times: Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, - anytime Wednesday to Friday- from 5.30pm (depending on where you are based) Alternate Saturdays I work 9-1
