Hello! I am a Veterinary Technician who has worked with animals my entire life! I have pets of my own that I adore, but I obviously love to love anyone's pets. I live in a house in a quiet subdivision with a big fenced in back yard for the dogs to play in. I live down the road from Garth dog park and walk my own personal dogs there daily. I strive to make pets as comfortable as possible when staying with me, and am thankful home most of the day to provide attention and enrichment! My degree gives me knowledge with animal CPR, wound dressing, vital signs and more; I like that this gives owners a peace of mind when leaving their pet with me!

Alex was great with our Maggie. She played well with Alex's furbabies and enjoyed being in the country. The only thing we would have liked more photos but we were were comfortable in knowing our furbaby was in good hands.

Alex was awesome! She kept me updated throughout the stay and made me feel at ease that my pup was being taken care of very well. I will definitely keep her in mind next time I need a sitter!!

I always make sure they get to go outside at least three times daily. I play with them as often as possible for mental stimulation. I stay strict with feed times, and any medication schedules they have. I make sure they get a lot of affection to avoid stress. In my home, my friendly pup provides a fun playmate and a buddy to keep them company.

It’s important to know if your pet has any health restrictions so I am aware of what they can or can’t have, or what they can or can’t do. I also like to know if they are dog friendly. If not it is easy for me to keep my dog separated. If they like a friend to play with, my pup is happy to be a friend. If your pet has any medications or injections needed, let me know ahead of time as I am fully trained/comfortable with giving anything they need!
A typical day
I love going for walks/hikes. I take my pup on hikes weekly as often as I can to stimulate her mind and keep her in shape. The riverfront is my go to, but there are many parks around that offer amazing hikes, and I love taking pictures of them enjoying nature!

Availability
I do work during the day through the week. So my routine is to wake up early, take my pup for a walk for stimulation and to go to the bathroom. I feed my pup, and usually set up a puzzle or fill a kong toy with peanut butter to keep her busy. I visit my horse often after work, my pup enjoys going to the farm with me and getting in a lot of exercise and stimulation. End of the day we curl up by the TV and spend time together. Luckily I don’t work long hours, so my pup doesn’t spend much time apart from me.
