Hi there! My name is Alex and I live in Bloomingdale in NW, DC. I'm an active female who would love to get to know your dog and take him/her on walks or runs around the city or even on a little hike nearby. I live right by several dog parks and love taking pups to socialize with others. I’ve grown up with dogs (golden retriever, puggle), often dog sit for my sister's pup down the street (lab/hound mix), and have fostered 5+ dogs over the last year. I usually work 9 am - 5 pm and I am around most weekends. I love to run, hike and explore new neighborhoods, but I am also fine with laying low and watching a movie on the couch, if that’s more your dog’s style! Alex and her husband were absolutely wonderful! Very mature, responsible, and conscientious, and I had no worries at all that they were taking wonderful care of Koda while we were out. They were very tolerant of (and happy for) my lengthy written information and instructions, and asked good questions ahead of the stay. We did a meet and greet in advance, and they made Koda feel right at home in their beautiful house. Koda has some fear-aggression issues, but clearly Alex and her husband were up to the challenge and not put off by this at all, in part based on their experience fostering dogs with all kinds of issues. Koda got lots of walks, love, and attention during his stay (and I could tell from the daily pictures!), and I'm sure he can't wait to go back again!
Alex was great! She helped out in a pinch and my high energy dog came back from her walk exhausted!
Alex and her husband were great with my dog! I have a senior dog who is pretty needy with attention and she was so comfortable with them after only being with them for one day! They went above and beyond for my dog and I am very grateful. I would recommend them to anyone and would definitely use them again!
Alex did a great job with my 5 month old pug! She took great care of him even in the early hours of the morning for a puppy potty break. She was very responsive to all messages before and during Hokie's stay which put me at ease. Hokie sniffed a cactus while they were on their walk and Alex handled it greatly. She was honest with us and helped point out what she was able to handle and what we needed to take on when we got home. I will definitely be reaching out again in the future and recommend her to anyone!
