Pet care experience
I am 25 years old and a graduate of UT Austin. I studied neuroscience and public health and currently going to veterinary school at A&M. I live and work in Austin during the summer at a veterinary hospital downtown. I've had pets all my life. Over the years I've had 5 cats and 2 dogs and a bunny! I have experience caring for cats, dogs, rabbits as well as horses. I worked in animal management primarily with farm animals. I have first aid animal training and have cared for multiple special need pets including amputees and epileptic fur babies. My availability is flexible for holidays and I have my own form of transportation in case of emergencies.

Alex is the best! We are so thankful we found her. She has taken care of our dogs twice now and we’ve already booked her again for a future trip. She is very respectful to our house during house sitting, and she spends a ton of time with the dogs which we really appreciate (given they are used to us being home so much with COVID changes!). Alex made our first experience with Rover a dream! We'd had some issues with our previous dogsitter and wanted to find someone who was reliable, knowledgeable, and whom our pets would adore. Alex checked every box! She sent us regular updates, kept to our dog and cat's routines flawlessly, and left our house spotless. We will definitely be booking with Alex again next time we leave town.
I had a fairly last minute change in dog sitting plans and Alex was able to step in and house / dog sit for me the very next day. My very anxious dog bonded with her and she’s very respectful of the house as well. She sent pictures the whole time and overall just knocked it out of the park. Can’t recommend enough!!!

I really enjoy hiking and doing the local trails. The trail around lady bird lake in the evenings is one of my favorites and I love to watch the bats.
