Animal-Adoring Work-at-Home Couple
Pet care experience
“Some people talk to animals. Not many listen though. That’s the problem.” -A.A. Milne An uber-empathetic couple that feel like an aunt & uncle to everyone's pets! They feel their greatest legacy is how happy/content/safe their pets have felt over the years. They'd love the opportunity to share that energy with your babies! Heather is also an avid photographer & is happy to try to capture some beauty shots of your babies for you! They have extensive experience with special needs/health accommodations; including but not limited to blindness, hip issues, chemotherapy effects, extensive medication schedules/regiments (we’re talking spreadsheet-level regiments; happy to adhere to whatever your babies need!), frequent potty needs, diapers, etc. They have tile floor so they don't sweat the small stuff when fluids occur (life happens). Pets are welcome on furniture. They pride themselves on being homebodies in their relaxed nest! Alex works from a home office & Heather doesn't work at the moment so she's usually puttering in the backyard, recipe testing, or working on house projects to the soothing soundtrack of the Great British Bakeoff. Your sweet babes will rarely be alone as at least one of them is usually home! Heather & Alex treat pets like children; they’re showered with love & snuggles (with consent), they’re constantly engaged and chatted with, and made sure to feel that they’re “livin’ the life”!
Reviews
Alex & Heather are literally the best dog babysitter we have ever used! They are so kind, are amazing communicators & they have such a lovely home/large fenced back yard. Your dog will be completely spoiled with Alex & Heather. Can’t recommend them enough!!
Alex & Heather are hands down the best dog babysitters we’ve ever had for our dog. They sent us pictures and videos of our doggo every day and he always looked so happy & content. They have a huge fenced backyard so your dog will have lots of room to play and run around. They made us feel very at ease leaving our fur baby! We will 100% be using their dog babysitting services again. Thank you thank you thank you ???
I cannot say enough about Heather and Alex. This was the first time I had to leave my cat, Pinky, for two weeks and I was nervous. Most other 'in-home' boarders that take cats, have cats of their own, which presented a problem for me as Pink doesn't really get along with other cats. She's been declawed and I was worried that in a house with a bunch of other cats, she'd be bullied:( But Heather and Alex only commit to one Rover boarder at a time. They work from home and so one or the other of them is almost always there. Their home is spacious, clean and has a lovely large screened in area, which my girl loved. They sent plenty of updates with pictures and videos. In fact Pink looked so comfortable, I was actually getting jealous. I'm so relieved to have someone reliable and would use them again in a heartbeat. Thanks so much guys!
Alex and Heather are beautiful people on the inside and out. They hired me to provide massage and wellness service to their own pets in 2020. As a pet care professional myself, I've witness them provide the best care and treatments to their own pets. People that treat their own dogs they way I've witnessed are true animal lovers and caregivers. I would trust Alex and Heather with the care of my own dogs without hesitation. Their home is clean, yard is large and fenced, and they live on a quiet street.

Information Alex & Heather G. would like to know about your pet
Once you’re booked for a staycation, you’ll be sent a questionnaire; including but not limited to the following questions. (Heather & Alex keep it on file for future stays. They’ve also found that having this information covered ahead of time allows the time and space upon check-in to make everyone feel welcomed & get comfortable right away!) Is your baby up to date on their shots? So that we can be mindful and respectful, what behaviors/sensitivities does your baby express? Besides you as the parent(s), who is the emergency contact? Please inform us of your babies’ primary veterinarian’s information as well as your preferred off-hours clinic, if you have one. (ACCESS in Royal Palm Beach is beyond incredible in our experiences, if you’re looking for one.)
A typical day
Heather & Alex have a fenced yard on a double corner lot as well as an extensive screened lanai with prime view of birdwatching in the backyard’s birdbaths; plenty of room for your babies to frolic & sunbathe (that was their late Rosie Blue's absolute favorite!). They also have two huge oak trees that provide tons of shade (there’s a broccoli-shaped Laurel oak, named, well,… Laurel, as well as a grand oak, named Hardy, that’s treasured by the neighborhood & just begging for a treehouse! But, rest assured, pets will never be alone in the backyard or on the lanai. They also have hammocks if your pet wants to join in on "hammock time" (please see pictures of Rosie Blue). Your pets will be in a very calm environment without excess noise and with constant companionship! Also, they only take one client at a time, and they don’t currently have pets or children, so your babies will have Heather & Alex’s constant love & attention.
