I've been taking care of dogs for basically as long as I remember, including feeding, walking, and giving medicine to them. From age 16 I was the primary person responsible for walking my family dog and frequently took him on hour-long hikes as well as shorter walks. I also learned how to give him various kinds of medication. More recently, I started living with a roommate who has a dog who I frequently feed, walk, and take care of. I have experience keeping control of big and energetic dogs, as well as working with dogs that need to be kept separate from other people and animals; I know those kinds of dogs can be difficult, but they deserve love and care too! I also have experience as a cat owner and have often taken care of friends' and families' cats.
