Pet care experience
Experience dog walking, grooming, and training. I worked at a dog kennel facility for a summer but I did not feel the dogs were getting a sufficient amount of attention and care. I would want to send my dog somewhere I know they are the main focus and will be loved just as much as I love them. I have trained 1 service dog and puppy raised another service dog. They learned skills such as leash manners, food manners, potty training, crate training, socialization, and much more! I will gladly work on your pet's manners while you are away! I am an animal lover and will take care of many pets, I currently have a standard poodle named Ellie and a cat named Duchess. I want to provide the best home away from home for your pet.

Alex started working with our dog, Sullivan, as an 8 week old puppy! Sully is a labradoodle. She worked with him 1-3 times per week for the first year and did basic puppy training, leash walking, and socialization with other dogs. Sullivan was able to get the exercise he needed in those first few months because of his walks with Alex. I know that the training Sullivan received early on by Alex has now set him up to be an obedient, calm, loving dog who is great with our daughter who has special needs, doesn't jump on home visitors, and doesn't bark at other dogs or people while on walks. We are grateful for the care and training that Alex was able to give Sullivan. She truly has a passion for animals, especially dogs, and loved Sully like her own!
Alex is very passionate about animals. She has 3 goats, 2 poodles (one of which she trained all by herself to be a service animal), and a rabbit so I guarantee she is no novice when it comes to keeping many different types of pets happy and healthy. She also has experience working in a professional pet care environment, where she performed a variety of tasks for many different pets. If the pets aren't happy, she's not happy. I guarantee she will do a wonderful job taking care of yours!
Your pets will adore the attention they get from Alex. She is super gifted with training dogs and has been a wonderful caretaker of our 2 standard poodles. You won’t go wrong with her.

We have a great fenced in back yard and we also live right beside the state park so there are lots of trails to go walking at. Our house is also filled with an abundance of toys!
