I’ve had dogs my entire life. I grew up with 2 yorkies, then two shelties, lastly a German Shepard and a miniature pincher. I’ve had my own dog since July 2022 and have babysat various friends’ dogs as well in my home for multiple days in a row.

I have a fenced in back yard. My dog, Murphy, is a 65lb bernedoodle who loves hosting friends, sharing his toys, running laps and playing tag in the back yard. I also have crates on each floor should they be needed for any reason.

A typical day
Not only do we have a fenced in yard, there is a great trail system blocks from our house. There is also a school and a university so plenty of opportunity to be outside and “people watch” at the nearby park, track, and fields and diamonds.

The days I am volunteering are days I am able to dedicate being entirely at home. Animals are family here so they will have attention, care and oversight.
