Pet care experience
I have been learning about dog behavior, health, training, and emergency care since I was 12. At 14, I began an apprenticeship with a local dog trainer and at 18, I became certified by taking a test administered by the CCPDT. I have dog care experience with all kinds of dogs, with all kinds of quirks. I will treat each dog as my own, giving them the highest level of care and love as their temporary pup parent. I have experience with bathing, basic grooming, teeth cleaning, and nail clipping. My dog training is not puppy specific- any dog can be trained, and drop in visits are a perfect time to brush up on some manners or new tricks to impress the rest of the family.

Alex is wonderful with dogs - they seem to flock to her, no matter their age, size, or history. Alex is not only amazing at training dogs, but she excels in reading dog body language and responding appropriately to each individual dog in order to make them comfortable with her. Sadie, Alex's service dog is one of the most well behaved and loved dogs I've ever seen, she is one of the most important things in Alex's life and Alex treats each of her clients with the same level of love and care.

A typical day
We will walk around town, and if your dog enjoys it, go to the dog park or perhaps a car ride. Playing fetch or tug-of-war are other favorite games of mine. I also believe that mental stimulation is just as important, and will either do training exercises or other kinds of games that will get your pup's mind working.
