Pet care experience
I’ve been taking care of dogs my entire life. I’ve had 3 English setters (Sasha, Sophie, and Pippa), a Staffordshire terrier (Elliott) and a rat terrier (Doc), the last two being rescues. I’m patient and empathetic with our four legged friends. I treat every animal as if they were my own. I’m comfortable with dogs large and small. I can play with and walk your dog, feed and water, even administer medication. I would love the opportunity to help care for your pet when you need a hand. I’m located in Orange City and I have a reliable SUV to get to and from your dog(s), as well as make emergency trips to the vet if needed.

We could not have asked for a better sitter/walker than Alex. He took Dozer for healthy walks twice a day, provided great pictures and feedback on his mood and behaviors. Alex and Dozer took to each other immediately - I have the feeling that any dog would take to Alex right away. He was great! 5 Stars!
Alex is clearly a dog lover and Uli picked up on that from the first moment they met. He was everything one wants - gentle, responsive and responsible. Will definitely call on him again.
Alex took the initiative to ask to meet Pepper before doing a check-in for us to make sure Pepper was comfortable with him. I really appreciate that he took the time to do that. He took pictures for us a left a summary of what Pepper did which is perfect. We will definitely use Alex again!
Alex has always adored dogs, and when I saw him with his little Pitbull, Elliott, rescued from Hurricane Katrina I was amazed at his patience and compassion. At just one year of age Elliott flourished under his care and attention, as Alex established a routine with love and consistent exercise, in which she felt safe and secure. In later years he nursed her through 3 cancer surgeries and she lived to the age of 13. I can't think of a more reliable or compassionate person to look after a dog than Alex.

Well, I don’t currently offer pet sitting in my home or overnights, I can provide a calm and safe environment for your pet in your home, or on a walk. I used to work at a farm animal sanctuary and have had pets my whole life (cats, dogs, hamsters, turtles, etc.) so I’m very in tune with their needs and comfort.

I work from home with flexibility to go out and walk dogs. I currently can’t do housesitting or overnights, but I am available on weekends for drop in visits.
