Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Alex and I am a 26 years old, currently WFH & in need of a furry companion :) I love dogs & I am almost ready to have one of my own, but am not quite ready to make the full time commitment at this time in my life. So- that’s where you come in! Over my years with Rover I have made some amazing furry friends that I’ve dog sat & walked repeatedly. I’m happy to say that I’ve made some great connections with not only dogs, but their wonderful owners. I have cared for 6+ Dogs via Rover and 10+ dogs outside of Rover through personal connections. I am familiar with long term stays (up to 25 days), regular dog walks, and just a quick overnight! I am great with communication (including pictures of pets), as well as lots of walks, play time, snuggling, and potty breaks. I am an active person who loves to walk, jog, or run and I am used to a furry running buddy. Alex is amazing and outstanding in taking care of our dog. She is always on top of things, is very thorough, and left no stone un-turned in ensuring Phoenix had a great time while we were away on vacation. This is the second time we used Alex for house sitting our pup in a month and both the times we came back to a very very happy puppy and clean home.
Alex took great care of Phoenix. She kept us updated on our trip and left us worry free. We came back to a clean house and a happy dog. We will definitely use Alex again when we next travel.

I live in a pet friendly building with a roof built for dogs, as well as a pet friendly apartment (dogs allowed on furniture). I am always aware of the dogs whereabouts.

Although I do not have any particular breed preferences, I do like to let dog parents know that I only pet sit dogs that are potty trained. Knowing that a dog responds to direction well is important. Also knowing how a dog interacts with others dogs/people is a must.
A typical day
I am a very active person, so walks or runs (obviously depending on the dog) would be my pleasure. I am also a fan of hikes that are dog friendly. I do have some friends that have dogs, so depending on the owner I think it would be great to schedule a doggy playdate or let the dog interact with some other furry friends. I also have a car that I am okay with pets being in, so traveling to dog friendly areas as well. My apartment is just a couple blocks shy of Cal Anderson.

Availability
Currently WFH so will be around constantly. Lots of time for potty breaks & snuggles. I take a full hour break at lunch and usually go for a walk.
