A life-long animal lover and caretaker, I have known veterinary medicine was the career for me since I was 5 years old. Now I am a certified Clinical Pet Nutritionist, I have my bachelor's degree with all of my prerequisites for veterinary school, and I will start vet school in Fall 2021. I am able to administer medications or fluids to any pet, I have experience with dog training and behavior, especially positive reinforcement, as well as experience with "pocket" and exotic pets, and I have been doing dog boarding in my home for many years.

Lilly is a coonhound. Alex not only understood a coonhound, I think she really liked her shenanigans. Lilly had a blast-friends and lots of walkies. She sent daily pictures and videos. It was great working with her.
I have been working with my puppy to socialize her and Alex was the perfect options to slowly ease her fears of being away from the family and play with new furry friends. She has made my girl feel some comfortable, gives her the love and attention she needs, sends lots of photos and gives her a healthy amount of exercise. I couldn’t be happier and highly recommend Alex.
Frankie had the best time with Alex! He stayed with her as a 4.5 month old puppy who needs lots of attention and exercise. Alex walked him multiple times a day, including 2+ mile walks. He also got to play with a few other dogs, which was an added bonus and certainly wore him out. Alex sent tons of pictures and clearly cares for the dogs that she watches. Without a doubt recommend and will be using her again!
Kano had a blast! She went on walks, played with puppy friends and gots lots of attention.

While we do not have a fenced-in yard, our street backs up to Bird Hills Nature Preserve, where we go for daily long walks in the woods. Along with myself being home most of the time, my boyfriend (a fellow animal lover) works from home part-time, and our kids (6 & 7) absolutely love playing with any critter that comes over! We have two cats and one dog. Our dog, Patch, is a medium-sized, sweet old man, who is amazing with all other dogs. He is about 16 now, and still loves meeting any new dogs or puppies. There have been many times when people have told me their dog "doesn't like other dogs", but they get along great with Patch!

Let me know what type of daily activity your dog is accustomed to, bed time routine, and details about meal time. If your dog is used to being crated at certain times, let me know! I have a crate large enough to accommodate any dog. We love all dogs and cats, but big dogs are my specialty! Bully breeds welcome.
A typical day
We go on daily walks through Bird Hills Nature Preserve and Barton Pond. We love playing with your dog's favorites toys; and if your dog enjoys it, going for car rides too! Ask me about nutrition consulting, and extra services during your dog's stay! I offer fear-free nail trims, tooth brushing, and ear cleaning.

Availability
I am fortunate enough to have my own business and be able to work from home. That means I have an extremely flexible schedule, and tons of time to walk and play with your dogs! I am almost always available during both the week and weekends. My only stipulation is that I ask that dogs stay the night if they cannot be picked up by 9 pm. I accept up to two dogs during any one day; either two from the same household, or two dogs from two, single-dog households. This is collectively between boarding and day care. The only exception is under special circumstances for three dog households.
