Pet care experience
Hi! Please call me Alex, and I'm a born-and-raised dog person, having grown up with at least one dog constantly in the house. I am a second-year college student, but my online classes mean I have a flexible schedule for walks and play time with your pet. I care for medium, large, and giant dogs (from 15 pounds to over 100 pounds,) have experience with dogs at all stages of life, and my schedule allows me to take care of them in the mornings almost every day of the week. I am flexible with any prior injuries and medications, and will adjust play time or activities accordingly- an injury should never be a reason for a dog to be kept from having the time of their life! I personally would rather spend my free time with the furry balls of unconditional love that are dogs, anyway.
Reviews
Alex was absolutely phenomenal!!!! Hire her you won’t regret it!!!
Alex was able to help out on short notice and keep my pups entertained. The dogs seem happy!
Alex did a great job!!! It was my first time leaving my dogs When I’ll have to leave again I’ll used this service and Alex again if she’s available.
Alex watched our dog and house for a week while we were on vacation. She did a great job, tidied up the house before she left and gave us regular updates on our dog. She’s responsible, punctual and trustworthy!

Safety, trust & environment
I am more than happy to work with and book walks, drop-ins, and house-sitting with healthcare workers of all kinds. Now more than ever you guys are doing valuable work and deserve to remove as many stresses as possible. I'm here to help if you need me. Per Rover's recommended guidelines, I can also bring my own retractable leash, treats, and dog bags if you would like me to, and request that any treats, leashes, or dog bags you may want me to use be by the door to keep things quick and sanitary. Thanks in advance and we'll get through this together.
Information Alex D. would like to know about your pet
The biggest thing I would like to know is if your pet is shy towards people or other animals, but unless explicitly stated, I'll attempt to keep at least 10 feet of distance between your pet and other people or animals.
A typical day
I always have my phone on-hand to take pictures, so you can expect plenty of photos of your furry friend doing the cutest things while they enjoy their walks and belly rubs! In the event of severe weather while out on a walk, I will bring your pet inside for safety and, if time allows, finish the walk when the weather clears. If the weather doesn't clear before the end of the stay, I will finish the stay with playtime, attention and belly rubs, or you are welcome to message me with alternate activities.

Availability
I am available Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday for walks and drops-ins from 9am to 8pm. Fridays I am available from 8am to 2pm, and Sundays I am available from 9am to 1pm for booking. You are always welcome to propose a Meet and Greet if you'd like to get to know me and see how I interact with your pet! Please Note: If I determine by the booking details that a Meet and Greet is a necessary first step to get to know your pet, then for the safety and comfort of everyone, I require a Meet and Greet before any booking is finalized. Thank you for being understanding!
