I’ve had dogs since I was 8 years old. I first had two twin goldens named Indy and Barney. We lived on a farm. Indy was mine (named him after Indians Jones). We also later has a lasapoo (mix between lasa and a mini poodle. I was the main caretaker for all the pets growing up. My dad now has a husky mix rescue named piper. She’s the best. I was motivated to join river when my roommate and I found a cat in our building and had to take care of it until we found the owner. That experience made me realize how much I missed caring for animals. I wish I could have one for my own but my schedule doesn’t permit full time care.
