I am currently available for drop in visits, some overnight care, and possible boarding. For overnight care, I charge a base fee of $70 nightly, plus an additional fee for extended care (if necessary). This additional fee would cover situations where your animal requires round the clock care and is unable to be left alone for up to 4 hours. It also covers visits that run beyond 24 hours—ie later arrivals on the last day, early arrivals on the first day. Please reach out with questions!

I enter and exit very carefully and always have dogs secured on a leash. I do not offer group or dog park visits. I pay close attention to surroundings while out on walks and take steps to avoid dangerous situations. As of this writing, I have never had an animal injured or lost during my care. I have also saved a few lives!

Any health concerns or previous health issues? Are there ways I can support your training efforts? I am not concerned about specific breeds and have experience with almost every breed of cat and dog.

I work on responding to each and every animal I work with. Like people, they are all different! I provide stimulation, bonding, play, music, outings, and exercise. I work to understand potential drives, and to meet them. I try to create an atmosphere of calm, joy, and fun!

I have over a decade of experience caring for cats, dogs, chickens and reptiles professionally. I look for clients who value excellent communication, experience, and a good sense of humor is a plus. I’m experienced with insulin shots and oral medication administration, senior animals, puppies, and most breeds of dogs and cats. I try to emulate their normal routines. Dogs: I support training and skills on walks and troubleshooting when necessary. We work on triggers, good leash behavior, all within a positive, solution focused framework. I have a protocol for walking that involves developing a solid bond and establishing trust with all animals and I strongly prefer to work with clients who consider their animals members of the family! I only use positive reinforcement training models and am happy to discuss ways to problem solve hard behaviors. I can also refer out to trainers in the area. Cats: I offer cats a level of attention they are comfortable with. I never force interaction but do seek them out. I make myself available for lap time and play time and work to create fun and stimulating games. Please hit me up with questions. There are no dumb questions! All breeds welcome! My rates reflect a living wage for myself. I do not negotiate my rates. I vehemently support all LGBTQI, BIPOC, and immigrants. If you don’t, please don’t contact me. After unexpectedly losing our dog sitter of 10 years, we were honestly nervous about finding someone new. Our two Frenchies are family, and leaving them with someone else felt like a huge leap of faith. Then we found Alex, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we left, Alex kept us updated with frequent messages and so many wonderful photos. It wasn’t just that she was checking in—every update showed how genuinely invested she was in making sure our dogs were happy, comfortable, and loved. It was so reassuring to see them snuggled up with her, playing, and clearly feeling right at home. When we returned, it was obvious how much care and affection she had given them. They were relaxed, happy, and so well cared for. As dog parents, there is no greater feeling than knowing your pets were loved as if they were her own. On top of providing exceptional care for our dogs, Alex treated our home with incredible respect. We came home to a house that was actually cleaner than when we left! That level of thoughtfulness and attention to detail is so rare and was such a wonderful surprise after traveling. Alex exceeded every expectation we had. She is kind, dependable, communicative, trustworthy, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. We feel incredibly lucky to have found her, and for the first time since losing our longtime sitter, we have complete peace of mind when we travel. If you’re looking for someone to care for your pets and your home as if they were her own, Alex is the one. We recommend her without hesitation and will absolutely be booking with her again and again!

Alex provided the absolute best care for our two pugs while we were out of town! We can’t thank you enough for keeping up on their eyedrops and seizure medications and providing us with the most thorough updates - it really made us feel like we weren’t missing a beat while we were gone :) I’m so happy that Goji was able to stay for the majority of the time because there is nothing better than a grumble of pugs that get along! Alex did a fantastic job with Lucas, as always! Lucas gets separation anxiety and Alex made him feel so comfortable with a consistent routine. Lucas threw up and had some wet poops and Alex handled it with grace and cared for him and our house so well. Lucas definitely loved his time with Alex and we were so comfortable to put him in Alex’s care again! For full disclosure, I work at Rover.
