I'm really used to being around animals and have been working with them my whole life pretty much. I have the patience needed to train/deal with animals and enjoy the time I get with to be with them. I love going for walks often so your animal will get plenty of exercise and outside time that they need. Preferably your dog should be cat friendly due to my roommates cat here at my apartment currently and he's getting pretty old, he won't hurt other animals he just gets annoyed and runs away but other animals stress him out if they continue to bug him but he shouldn't be a problem.
