The Chihuahua Guy
Pet care experience
Ever since I was 8 years old I’ve taken car of dogs. My aunt had a lab which I loved and knew I’d want one of my own one day. In middle school my family and I adopted a greyhound which we had until March 2010. I really loved that dog and knew we’d need another companion. So we decided to rescue two chihuahuas which are a bonded pair. Then I adopted my own chihuahua to join the team who is currently my dog in Florida and misses her friends back in New Jersey. I’ve had Peanut since she was 9 months old and she’s the most friendly chihuahua you’d meet.
Reviews
The man is a saint and quite literally saved my dogs life. He dodged himself in traffic because my dog, Genevieve will take off into the middle of the road. Alex and his skills were a god send for the weekend. But in all seriousness, Alex is such a great caretaker for pets, he goes above and beyond to make each animal feel uniquely cared for... and is really an expert in understanding the complexities different breeds bring to the table. I have both a Yorkshire terrier and St. Bernard and he plays and cares for them each superiorly. I would trust this man with my dogs anytime and quite literally, my life as well.
Alex is great with pets! He takes wonderful care of 3 little guys. He is responsible, deals with their various dietary issues, and is kind to them. I would gladly trust him with my own pet.
Alex is very reliable and caring of my 2 labs. They love being around Alex and always love his visits!! I don't trust anyone else to care for my babies!!! They can be a handful, but Alex is a dog whisperer!
Alex and I have been coworkers and friends for a long time. He is a extremely responsible, honest, and trustworthy person. His love for animals is apparent at all times in the way he speaks about and cares for his own pets s as no how he interacts with other pets when they are around. If I needed someone to watch my dog, Alex would be at the top of the list and I know he would be happy to do so.

We have a large townhome in a dog friendly neighborhood. We do not have a fence, but we take peanut on walks 3 times a day. Dogs can easily be crated if you prefer that in our home.

Information Alex B. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if there is anything special I need to know about your dog. I also like to get clear directions on what to do as I care for your dog (preferably written) so it's a smooth transition for your dog.
A typical day
I love to take my dog on an "expedition walk". This is typically a longer than usual walk followed by one of her favorite treats at the end. Other fun activities include "who got the squirrel" where I hid a stuffed squirrel somewhere in the house and try to find it and other times we will play tug of war.
