Vigilance is the best way to care for any pet, especially one that isn't yours. Whether in the house snoozing or out and about for a walk, anything from environmental triggers - like other dogs or thunderstorms - to health concerns - like an unexpected seizure or consuming something toxic - are possible. Therefore, I always keep an eye on the pets I watch and avoid leaving any animal alone for a long period of time. My goal is for your pet to keep as normal a routine as possible in your absence so he/she can be calm, happy and healthy! This means whatever rules and routines you have, I'll gladly follow. Don't allow your pet on the furniture? I won't either. Your fur baby always sleeps in bed with you at night? Then s/he'll sleep with me, too! I'll never walk your dog without a leash for the safety of your pet and others. I'll love your fur baby as much as you do!
