I've owned cats and dogs almost my entire life and now that I'm out of college and poor I figured this was an obvious solution to the void of no doggos in my life. I am currently at Subway but only work about three shifts a week, normally one weekend shift (changes) and then Wednesday and Thursday nights as well. Other than that I am pretty much free and at home all the time so I felt this may be the perfect job for me. In the past I have cared for an American Eskimo and currently a cute mut named ginger we found abandoned about 4 years ago. I would treat your dog like the love of my life because all dogs are. Alex was great. He updated me with photos about my dog and enjoyed staying with him. My pup appeared to be comfortable in his home. I have quite the dog to handle and Alex was able to hold down the fort with no issue!!

Alex watches my little pomsky, Fenway, when I work nights or weekends and Fenway absolutely loves him! He's got some pretty serious separation anxiety so it's rare he doesn't throw a fuss when I leave, but he's always fine with Alex and actually gets excited when we go to drop him off. Plus when I leave Fen with him I always know he's in good hands.
On numerous occasions, Alex has looked after my difficult dog. Scuppers, my dog, has medical issues that require him to be fed specially and held after meals, or else he is likely to throw up or aspirate his food. Alex can handle Scuppers despite his (the dog's) less than agreeable disposition. Alex is a reliable, skilled, and friendly dog sitter, and I would highly recommend him.

I live about a block or so from Buchanan dog park in Lancaster city and can take them to play with other dogs with your permission or on walks around the city. Dog Park visits will be determined on a case by case basis depending on each dogs temperament, and behavior around other dogs. Basically I'll ask you to sign a permission form of some sort saying you vouch for your dogs good behavior around other dogs so if anything happened while I was there like: dog bites another, gets bitten, another owner is upset with a dog's behavior that I am watching, etc; then I would be covered.
