I have 17 years of extensive dog/cat handling experience—from training my own dogs/cats, to working with dogs/cats in a volunteering capacity and in doggy/cat daycare setting. I have watched over large play groups of dogs as well as done one-on-ones--both working closely/individually with dogs and cats of many different temperaments and sizes. In addition, I have volunteer experience at Greenhill Humane Society, The Oregon Humane Society, and many other establishments in where I’m originally from in New England. Here, I have had training in dog behavior as well as best practices in dealing with dog altercations or fixations. In addition, I have worked at Animal Daycare establishments in Portland, OR such as Stay Pet Hotel and Fetch Doggie Daycare. There, I cut nails, bathed, and cleaned dogs. I really appreciated Alex sending daily updates and photos of my cat, Winston! I felt comfortable that he was well taken care of. Alex also went above and beyond with handing off the keys to a friend.
Alex was a great cat sitter for my kitten, Benny. He was very responsive and communicated well; and I knew my cat was in great hands. Since this was the first time my kitten was home alone, I was a bit anxious and how she'd do, but Alex helped make it stress free for Benny. I'd definitely recommend him and plan on inviting him back to cat sit in the future.
Alex is very professional and communicates wonderfully about any scheduling conflicts etc. He does a great job with Rhino who always comes back Happy and excited to see Alex the next time! I can highly recommend Alex as a dog walker.

I appreciate full transparency with a dogs needs as I have no problem with special needs or administering medication if that should be required. But knowing about the dogs limitations, needs, fears, and idiosyncrasies really help when approaching and handling the dog.
A typical day
I will usually walk them around the area/park I live by unless otherwise specified by the owner. I like playing a little with them but also giving them good amount of affection as they may get separation anxiety or just be generally sensitive.

I am working remotely but have plenty of time to play, watch, or drop-in on your dog(s) or cat(s). I typically have more time on the weekends but the weekdays are also very flexible.
