Pet care experience

Thank you for considering us! We believe a tired dog is a happy dog. When staying with us your dog will have a balance of exciting play and rest throughout the day. Our structured routine ensures they get the exercise they crave to be happy and the rest they need to stay healthy. To ensure your dog has the best experience, we ask that they be socialized, crate trained or tolerant, and should not suffer from separation anxiety when alone. This is to ensure they can relax comfortably and not disrupt other dogs or the household during downtime. Please take a few minutes to read through our profile so you know what to expect and if you have other questions don't hesitate to ask. We look forward to hearing from you and want to learn more about you and your furry friend! *OVERVIEW: We offer a fun and safe environment for your pet. During your pets stay we will have activities with the pack in the play park such as playing fetch, tug-o-war, basic training with treats or simply running and chasing each other around. Dogs who are social is a must so we can all enjoy the play park together. Dogs who are crate trained or tolerant are preferred. We utilize pens and crates for rest between play sessions, at mealtimes and overnight (see Doggy Den below for more info). *DAILY ROUTINE: Morning potty break then morning meal, social time in the doggy play park morning and afternoon, evening meal then one last out before bedtime. Time between play sessions is spent in Doggy Den and dogs will be resting in the Den overnight, as well as during our breakfast, lunch and dinner times. Dogs are fed twice a day, morning and evening separated from other dogs in their space. Exceptions may be made for puppies or for health conditions. *DOGGY DEN: To help keep your pets safe and comfortable during their stay we have a dedicated space we call our Doggy Den. We utilize 4ftx4ft, 4ftx3ft pens or crates and each one includes bedding, water and food bowls. Each dog is assigned a pen/crate during their stay so they have a safe, calm space to call their own. This helps them relax and recharge for the next play session in the doggy play park. We also show DogTv and have a noise machine to dull any outside noises. *DOGGY PLAY PARK: Fully fenced 1000sq ft+ L-shaped dog run lined with cedar wood chips, separate smaller run, 3 shade sails, rocks for climbing or jumping, also plants and a fire hydrant for decoration. Tons of space to run, chase and play! Lots of community toys to play and friends to chase. Fully lit for nighttime play sessions. *SAFETY: Safety is top priority at our house. During your dog’s stay we ensure all dogs get along with each dog before joining the pack, to do this we introduce new dogs one at a time or in small groups. At times we have a full Doggy Den, due to this we only accept dogs who are friendly with other dogs. *PICTURES/UPDATES: During your pets stay we will provide a quick update each day along with several pictures of them playing in the pack, you may even get a cute video if we catch a fun moment! *MEET & GREET: We would love to meet you and your dog(s)! We offer meet & greets so our dogs can interact and we can make sure we are a good fit for each other. During the meet and greet we introduce ourselves and the dogs, talk about what to expect and cover any other questions you may have. We dedicate 30 minutes for our meet and greets, if plans change or you are running late, please communicate that to us ASAP as we may have to reschedule due to other obligations and timing. Please note, if you are a first time customer asking to book a long term stay, we may ask you to book a partial day of daycare for immediately after our meet and greet, this way can get to know your pet and evaluate if we are a good fit for each other prior to their long stay. Inquire for more details! *DROP OFF/PICK UP HOURS: Daycare: Monday – Friday: 7:00AM – 7:00PM. We do like our daycare pups to be here between 7am – 9am and be picked up between 4pm – 7pm so they can participate in a full day of fun! Saturday: No daycare Sunday: No daycare Overnight Boarding: Monday – Friday: 8am – 7pm — You can still drop off as early as 7am, but please pick up at 8am or later if possible. This way, we can get your pup out a couple of times, feed them breakfast, and gather their belongings! Saturday: 10am - 4pm Sunday: 10am - 4pm Please note that we are closed for pick-ups or drop-offs on: Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. *BOARDING: What to bring: Please include a quick release collar for use during their stay. Your dog’s dry food pre-portioned for each meal or by day, for longer stays a container with measuring tool is ok. We provide bedding, blankets and bowls which are dedicated to your dog during their stay. Feel free to bring a blanket or special toy if they are a chewer. *DAYCARE: What to bring: Please include a quick release collar for use during their stay. (Note meals are not given to daycare dogs, exceptions may be made for puppies etc.) *OUR PET STORIES Currently we have two dogs we have raised from puppies together, Arya and Dexter. Yellow Labrador mix and a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix, respectively. We love to play fetch in our back yard, go for walks or just relax in the den if it's rainy outside. We have a lot of fun with our dogs and enjoy watching dogs who are also friendly, social and love to play with other dogs. *ALEX I realized early in life that I loved all animals. My family always had pets, mostly dogs, but we also had cats, hamsters, goldfish and even a chinchilla! I love all animals, but found I have a special place in my heart for dogs. The first puppy I raised on my own was a black lab I named Midnight, he was about 8 weeks old and from the moment we met we were inseparable! Over the years we learned a lot from each other. I taught him tricks and basic commands, I also taught him how to follow and always keep his eye on me. We walked in off leash areas mostly and he always knew how far he could be from me and where I was always. He taught me (at times the hard way) that dogs need to be mentally and physically stimulated every day. I believe the key is to keep them occupied and engaged, whether that is physically, socially or mentally. So, we did obedience training, trick training, walked daily, played fetch, solved puzzles, had play dates, went swimming, hiking, and camping regularly. A game we had the most fun playing together was hide and seek. I hid while a family member would distract him, they would say go and he would always find me! I had some great hiding spots over the years too, but he still sniffed me out every time. Midnight will always be the dog who ultimately trained me! *AMANDA Growing up my family had only a few pets, so I didn’t have much experience with animals. But when I was about 11 years old my mom decided to get a puppy for the family. This puppy had been abandoned in a downtown park with no one to claim him, so my mom decided to rescue him! He was the cutest thing, fluffy and sweet, we all fell in love immediately! He was a Tibetan Spaniel we named Edgar and he was my first experience having a dog. We played a lot together, running around the yard, hiding under blankets and throwing his favorite toys. He always slept in my bed, right under the covers at my feet. He was feisty and always kept things interesting, he certainly gave us a run for our money, literally sometimes! My love for dogs has developed within the past 10+ years and a large part of learning was watching Midnight interact with Alex. I thought it was great how well Midnight listened, and I wanted to learn how to teach dogs to listen to me too. I worked with Midnight which made me more comfortable working with dogs, he was a great dog to help train me! Since then, I have trained 2 other puppies in my own household, and it has been a great experience! I can’t wait to train more as I learn through my experiences. Thank you for taking the time to read our profile! We look forward to hearing from you. Have a great day!
