Pet care experience

**Must be willing to meet & greet for the safety of your animal and myself 🤗** Hi there! My name is Alex, I’m a 24 year old with extensive experience in dog focused care. I started working with dogs at the age of 11 when my family became full time dog fosters, and it struck a passion within me to pursue animal care outside of my main career. I have a few families I regularly walk/dog sit for and recently reactivated my Rover account to connect with more fur families 😄 I have 13 years total of pet care experience, with the past 6 years of experience fostering dogs and working in animal enrichment at my local humane society. I have 2 years experience of professional dog training, and 1 year of volunteer-service animal training. On top of this I dogsit on the side whenever I don’t have a foster pup in my care! Within specialty care I have extensive experience working with deaf dogs, and 5+ years working with blind, injured, medical supervision, and special needs dogs and cats. Outside of my experience with dogs, I have had the pleasure of house sitting with other animals as well! Including: Cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, small birds, bearded dragons, snakes, and fish. I work well with all shapes, sizes, and needs, but my number one ask is communication between myself and pet parents! It’s the best way I can create a safe and happy experience for all of us. Thank you for taking the time to read all of this, and I hope to meet you and your pets soon! 🐾

Look no further! Alex is absolutely amazing. She is a sweetheart who has the magic touch with pets. I've used Rover for years, and had mainly good experiences but she is the best! She approached my skittish kitty perfectly! I am so excited to have the perfect cat sitter now!

Good service always on time. Made sure to send lots of pictures and videos while I was on my trip. Watched my dogs 3x before she moved.

Alex was recommended as a dog sitter by a family friend of ours when we moved to LA, our oldest dog Lonny started having some issues before our move and we needed someone to check on him while we were at work during the week. Alex was able to provide Lonny with his regular medications and always made sure to pay attention to his behavior, eating and bathroom habits in case of any flare ups or emergencies. Knowing Lonny was in good hands took the stress off my wife and I while we were at work, and I couldn’t have asked for anyone kinder to watch him.

Alex is the best dog sitter around. She watched my 70 pound high energy Pitbull Louie, multiple times. She even stayed at my apartment and watched him while I was on vacation for over a week. She is very trustworthy and knowledgeable with animals. She has lots of experience with animals. If you are looking for a friendly, great dog sitter Alex is the person to go to. She’s greats on taking large dogs on walks. I would highly recommend.

Safety, trust & environment

Trust: Communication is key! I believe the start to a good client relationship is proper communication between myself and the fur family. This is the best way for us both to feel comfortable and safe, as well as for your pet to have the best experience possible. Communicating concerns, needs, and questions is a great start. Safety: I also have proper animal handling training, being able to recognize unsafe or triggered behavior from both the animal being cared for and any other animals. Understanding a dogs behavior and quirks is one of the main parts of safety and trust between a sitter and them.

Information Alex A. would like to know about your pet

About your pet: I don't have any breed preferences, but i do like to know a bit about them before I pet sit, such as: Temperment- How they do with other dogs Special needs- Agression, not potty trained, likes to counter surf, etc. About your dog- Some fun things about them, do they like to play or go on walks, are they high energy, anything like that.

A typical day

A day in the life: I can take your dog(s) on walks, or tire them out in your own backyard. If your dog has a strict walk schedule I can do that, or just hangout and give them belly rubs if they're more of a couch potato. I like to keep pets to as close to their regular routine as possible, even if that means waking up extra early or staying up late for them.
