I have loved animals for as long as I can remember. However, due to travelling a lot as a child it was never the right time for my family to get a dog, despite how much I wanted a dog in my life. So I found other ways to spend time with animals. I would regularly visit the local farm and help feeding the farm animals and grooming the horses. This led me to helping out at a horse rescue centre where we rescued horses in need and gave them the love and care they needed to recover. In doing this I saw the therapeutic effects of horses and went on to work with children with Down syndrome and gave them horse riding lessons where I saw them thrive. I then volunteered at local dog shelters grooming, feeding and walking dogs. While doing this I also started walking dogs owned by elderly people who were struggling to keep up with their dogs daily activity requirements. Finally, 3 years ago I was lucky enough to welcome our beautiful Labrador, Malky, into the family and I couldn’t be happier. We love going to the beach and going on long walks and hikes together. I am hoping the pictures I have uploaded of Malky and I can help provide an insight into our life together and help show you what it would look like for your dogs to spend time with me! However, having moved away from home means I miss him everyday and I would love to be able to spend time with dogs again!
