Alesha was great with my dog she stepped in in the last minute to do this after my original walker had to stop for reasons I'm very thankful of her would diffently use her again

We had a mixed experience with Alesha, which surprised me after all the great reviews I read. I have debated for a while about whether or not to write this review, but I finally decided that it was important for me to share my experience. When I first contacted Alesha, she communicated very well and was extremely flexible. We could not make up our minds about whether or not we needed care until the last minute, but she was very understanding and still agreed to take our two dogs. When we dropped the dogs off, Alesha greeted me at the door, but she didn’t seem too eager to talk or learn anything about our dogs. I tried to quickly give her some information, but the only two questions she had for me were if the dogs would run away if they got out, and what time I was coming back to get them. I felt so uncomfortable when I left that I pulled over at the end of her block to review her information and read the reviews again, which reassured me. She did update me a couple times during the day, and sent me a couple of cute pictures, which we really enjoyed. However, when I went to pick the dogs up, even though I had been texting her and updating her on when I would be there, nobody answered the door. I knocked and knocked, went around back to see if they were in the backyard, then knocked some more. I messaged her, but got no immediate response. Meanwhile, our two dogs plus three others were in the living room at the front of the house barking like crazy the whole time, apparently completely unsupervised. Finally, someone else answered the door. He had a hard time locating their leashes and treats and food but he eventually found everything, though their food was mostly scattered all over the floor, and I got back a lot less food than I left. For the most part the dogs seemed okay when I got them in the car, but they were excessively thirsty, so I wonder if they were left alone with no water for most of the time. Alesha did text me back about 40 minutes after I got to her house and said, “ Sorry about that of course I go to run an errand and nobody in the house can answer the dang door.... Gotta love teens.” (It was an adult that answered the door). We have used two other sitters from Rover and they were both amazing, but I would not use Alesha’s services again.
