I started doing pet care in 2016, and continue to be dedicated to giving your furry family member the best care possible. As a lifelong animal-lover and Mama of 2 dogs, I will treat your pet as if they were my own. No matter the size, I love everything furry and 4-legged! I live in Stony Plain with my partner, his daughter, and our collective pups: a 9 year old German wirehaired pointer named Hazel and a 16 year old shih tzu named Lily. I’ve had a dog for most of my life, and have a lot of experience with behaviour, training and working with senior dogs as well as various ailments requiring oral administration of medication.

Alesha has been such a blessing in our dogs life. We use her regularly to check in on our girl Hazel while I’m in the office and my husband is away. Hazel can be a handful but Alesha has been amazing with her and her regular updates/pictures are a great peace of mind.

Alesha looked after my cat, Kaylee, last summer in my home for 6 weeks. Information that I like to know ahead of time are things like the behavior of the pet, how he/she behaves on a leash versus off leash, how they behave with other animals. Also, any health concerns and/or medication that the pet is on is always good information to know. To make sure that I have all of my bases covered, I also ask for the client’s veterinarian contact information because you just never know when you might need it.
A typical day
I like to keep dogs active and mentally stimulated, so going for walks where there are lots of smells, going to the dog park if it’s OK to do so, and playing games. For cats, I play indoor games, let them outside if their parents encourage it, and I also like to play games that get their hunting drive going, like hiding small treats around the house.
