Sit! Now stay. That's all you might need to tell me to get me to watch your dog. Currently a struggling art student attending an expensive university, I can't afford to completely spoil a pet of my own (tragic)......which is why I want to spoil YOUR pet instead! You heard right. I have all this love to give but no furbaby of my own to hang out with. I just want to spend some quality time with a cute dog or cat, lounging on the couch givin' them belly rubs, going on long walks, and spoiling them with treats and toys. I won't even mind cleaning up after them if they make a mess. Animal companions have always been core to my life. Unable to have a pet of my own honestly leaves such a hole in my heart. Hopefully I'll be able to adopt a pet in the near future but for now I've been filling that hole with working at doggie daycares and of course working as a Rover sitter for nearly 2 years. Rover has given me such a wonderful opportunity to put my enthusiasm for pets into a job which ultimately helps me, you, and your pet! I give 100% of my time to your pet when you're away and when the walk or stay is over I tend to miss them. School is starting again for me soon...but I'll always have some time on the side for a furbuddy!

Alena is wonderful! She took care of our cat while we were out of town. She is very easy to communicate with, flexible, and extremely considerate. She had sent us photos and videos, built a play area for Gustav, and engaged him the entire time we were gone. I can wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone, and we will be working with her in the future with no doubt!
Alena is fantastic. Every time she drops in to do some walks for our girls, we know they're in good hands. She's communicative, thoughtful, and clearly comfortable with dogs—even though one of our girls can be a little high-energy and nervous, they clearly adore Alena.
Alena is very reliable and helpful - my cat loves her and she takes good care of our house and is able to help out in a pinch.
Will use Alena again and highly recommend her very reliable and gave consistent updates on visits and was flexible with schedule changes and updates. House was in good condition and kitty was happy!

It would definitely be important for me to know how socialized your pup is so we can take the best route to having a good time; so if your dog likes meeting other dogs great! We can probably take a walk to the local dog park like Columbus Square. If they're the solitary type that's cool I understand that we can have fun without going to a dog park. Of course anything medical, anxiety issues, level of exercise they might want, even favorite treats and activities are great to know. I want your pet to have the experience of a great sitter! I don't discriminate against any breed.
A typical day
Depending on the neighborhood the dog I'm watching lives in I'll mostly walk within the area of the home or wherever you recommend your pet likes to go, whether it be a usual route or a park. When my schedule is tight due to work or school I work in tandem with my partner who is also a huge pet lover! No extra pay required for him, he just likes to help me out. When we visit together with your pets its double the fun and you'll probably get some great high quality photos in the process as my partner is a photographer.
