I supply Pawsitive Pet Care

Pet care experience

Hello! I have been around dogs my whole life, having grown up with one that I loved dearly to then pet sitting friends, families, and their own connection's furry family members. In my pet care experience, I bring a unique blend of expertise and dedication that sets me apart. I can ensure that they develop essential skills and behaviors that are being practiced at home. Additionally, I excel in providing compassionate care for senior pets, including administering medications and catering to their special needs. My commitment to personalized attention, along with my deep understanding of animal behavior, allows me to deliver exceptional care tailored to each pet's individual requirements. The key is to let all animals come to you and feel safe and not force them to love you. I'm pawsitive your furry friends will feel safe with me!

Alena dog-sat for my 3 month old English Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog puppy this past February 2024 and she was absolutely wonderful. I felt completely at ease knowing Alena had extensive experience with dog-sitting both adult dogs and puppies. She has a very gentle and caring demeanor and my puppy instantly took to her. She was communicative while I was away, and very thorough in following the directions I provided for her. I would 100% recommend Alena to any dog/puppy/cat/kitten parent.

Alena became like a second parent to my dog, Django, over the year+ that she spent time with him. She was always warm, attentive, caring, and kind, and he fell in love with her almost immediately. Whenever we’d get out of the car at her complex, and he’d realize where we were, he’d get so excited because he knew he’d get to see Alena! I’m a huge worrier when it comes to my dog, but I felt completely safe and secure every time I left him in her care, because I knew he was in good hands. She truly treated him like a (spoiled) member of her family, and we both were so grateful to her for taking such good care of my boy.

Alena watched my dwarf Border Collie Rico for a few hours! She was very attentive to about my dogs habits (walking, feeding, going potty etc). I really appreciate that. She also had a really good connection with my dog and I feel really comfortable with her watching him!

Alena recently dog sat for me while I was out of town! She had met my dog Georgie several other times before so I knew right away she would be a reliable person to help out. She watched him for 3 days total. Alena was incredible at keeping my pup company, feeding him, walking him daily, playing with him and of course cuddles! She even took care of light housework at my request. I would definitely ask for her help in watching my dog again!

Information Alena A. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for pets, it's crucial to gather essential information to ensure their well-being and safety. Here are important details I need to know in advance: Medical History: Understand any medical conditions, allergies, or medications the pet requires. This information helps address health needs appropriately. Behavioral Traits: Learn about the pet's temperament, socialization level, and any behavioral quirks. This knowledge helps in managing interactions and providing suitable enrichment. Feeding Schedule: Obtain details about the pet's regular feeding schedule, preferred food or treats, and portion sizes. Exercise Needs: Determine the pet's exercise requirements, preferred activities, and walking routines. Emergency Contacts: Have contact information for the pet's veterinarian and emergency contact in case of unforeseen situations. House Rules: Understand any specific rules or restrictions related to the pet's care, such as areas they are allowed to access or household routines. Comfort Items: Identify favorite toys, blankets, or comfort items that help soothe the pet during your care. Special Instructions: Be aware of any special instructions or unique preferences provided by the pet owner. Having this information in advance ensures a smooth transition and enables you to provide personalized care that aligns with the pet's individual needs and preferences.

A typical day

A typical day in my care involves a well-rounded schedule that caters to the needs and preferences of the pets I watch. Here are things I can do with your furry family member: - Depending on the pet's energy level, we may go for a morning walk or engage in playtime to stimulate their senses and promote physical activity. - I check in on the pets, provide potty breaks, and offer some companionship and attention. - If the weather permits, outdoor play sessions or interactive games keep them engaged and entertained. - Activities might include interactive toys, or simply cuddle time for senior pets. - Making sure there is minimal stress and anxiety, for our anxious furry friends, ensuring they feel secure and cared for. - I spend quality time with the pets, offering affection and reassurance before bedtime. - Play sessions with toys such as fetch, tug-of-war, or puzzle games. - Exploring new walking routes or visiting dog-friendly parks for outdoor adventures. - Training exercises tailored to the pet's needs, including basic commands or tricks. - Interactive feeding puzzles or treat-dispensing toys to stimulate mental engagement. - Relaxing grooming sessions, such as brushing or gentle massages. Each day is designed to be enjoyable and enriching for the pets, fostering a positive and fulfilling experience during their time under my care. Any of these can be implemented with your pet, but I will need to know of these expectations *prior* to watching them.
