Growing up my parents always kept pets (dogs, cats, even birds) in our house as a teaching tool of responsibility for my siblings and I. Yes, we had chores and duties that came along with this but on the bright side we got to have furry little people to play with all day. Becoming an adult and moving out on my own, I was yet to obtain my own animals until about a year ago when I adopted a kitten. Nala, as I called her, was loved but also used for comfort for my depression (support animal). I wasn’t able to keep her for various reasons but that still never discouraged my love for all furry friends! In fact, I do dog sit for a few of my friends now & still I do hope to obtain another one of my own again someday soon.
