Set Up For Success :)
Pet care experience
If you are interested in continues and consistent doggy 101 training while still allowing your dog to have fun, then I am the perfect person for you and your dog. :) I work hard to practice "sits", "downs", and "stays" before going down steps, through doorways, and crossing the street. I also understand that listening to a dog's behavior and using the right training harnesses, leashes, and gentle leads can help set them up for success, which overtime helps them interact with other dogs, and people in a more relaxed state. :)
Reviews
I am happy to have found Alec on Rover! He takes great care of Whiskey and she is always excited to go stay with Alec.
Alec always does an amazing job with Bingo! Daily pics and updates and I know Bingo is in good hands!
Alec is great. He is responsible and always informed us of Ruby’s activities with written text and pictures. He apparently has a good knowledge of dogs and tried different ways to get Ruby to eat. Definitely will book Alec again.
Another amazing experience with Alec! Lucy is so happy staying with him. I love the daily updates with pictures and videos. He takes such great care of her. And my baby always comes home happy and healthy. Highly recommend!!!

Safety, trust & environment
I am 32 years old (as of 2024) and have done dog training for MANY YEARS (16 or more). I also believe in setting your pet up for success, such as having a doggy treadmill, practicing calmness, practicing patience, and having busy bones/treats. I have Anxiety (social anxiety) and on the autism spectrum (Aspergers), so I have issues with eye contact and tend to do better with texting, rather than phone calls.

Information Alec S. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if there are any behavior concerns you would like me to be aware of. Maybe the dog gets anxiety when you are gone or does not like their feet to be touched or may be food or dog aggressive? I do not have any issues with dogs that have these issues, I just like to know ahead of time. I am willing to work with your needs and comfortability. :)
A typical day
The typical day would be: 2-3 Feeding times (morning, afternoon, early evening), 2 potty breaks (about 5 minutes each; first thing in the morning and right before bedtime), 2 walks (only 1 walk per day on the days I work, 20 minutes each; in the morning, and evening), 1 playtime (45 minutes each; afternoon), extra (When I have time; extra playtimes, brushing, training).

Availability
Fast Information: Currently I work Monday through Friday 8am - 4 pm. I live in a Townhouse. I am LGBTQ and Mental Health friendly. No squeaky toys (My Preference). No dog parks (My Preference). Dogs do not interact with each other (My Preference). I have 1 dog, Littlebear :) (Gets along with all people and most dogs but training her to stay calm, so does not interact with any owner dogs). I focus on 100% safety for all my dogs in my care (This means that all collars must be secure). I tend to respond and send pictures between 6pm - 10pm or 6am - 8 am. All other times I am usually busy at work or playing, brushing, training, and feeding the dogs in my care.
