Critter Sitter
Pet care experience
I have two angel kitties of my own and have spent countless evenings cat/dog sitting for friends and family over the years! I am excited to meet your fur baby and help out anyway I possibly can. Trust me… I know how scary it can be leaving your pet-children for a vacation or an evening away. Let me help put your worries aside! With having two cats of my own I am fully aware of the things to look out for when pet sitting—Misfit things on the ground that don’t belong and may end up in their mouth. Leaving anything on counters that they may get into. Always leaving a clean sink because critters are curious and have the best noses and many more. Please make sure to share their favorite hiding place and toys! I have experience walking dogs- anything from Great Danes and mastifs to huskies and small poodles. I have experience with feeding and administering meds- crushed or put into peanut butter for dogs and cleaning ears- if necessary. I have personal experience with pets who are terrified of thunder storms. My poor chocolate lab growing up- couldn’t be alone. I have experience transporting animals to and from the vet and/or day care.
Reviews
Always a pleasure to have Alea take care of my cats when I’m away!
Alea is consistently reliable and my kitties adore her! Her daily updates give me great peace of mind and I love the photos. I always come home to happy, healthy cats. Thanks Alea!
Alea was fantastic! So kind.
Alea was great with Cooper! She took him on a long walk and was super easy to work with. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for per care!

Unfortunately I am unable to care for pets in my own home because of my two angels. But I will gladly come to yours and treat your home just as if it were my own. For the time you are away—your pet becomes one of our angels for the time being. So rest easy, we are here to play while you are away!
Information Alea B. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your cat or dog has any special needs, behaviors, or triggers that I can account for. Also dietary restrictions or any trigger points in your home that we need to stay away from. If while walking- I need to watch for the dog constantly wanting to put things in it’s mouth, if we need to steer clear of other dogs or whatever the specific situation may be!
A typical day
When watching a cat I think it’s crucial to do the following things- check litter boxes (always a good indicator of health), make sure fresh water is provided, check food levels and get eyes on the cat! Some cats, like my Sissy are terrified of people outside of their humans. So it’s important to “lay eyes” on the cat and make sure they are safe and sound. If a cat has favorite toys or if mom or dad left out tunnels for us to play with- let’s do it! I know Addie loves being drug around- whether in a tunnel or just on a sheet- it’s her thing. Everyone’s got them! While watching your dog I will make sure we hit up their favorite parks or play their favorite games. The whole point is to run them to exhaustion so they are able to sleep easy and not even think about their owner being gone!

I currently work full-time in Uptown starting relatively early in the mornings I and am off around 5 PM. I live in Lincoln Square! I have a car and live right next door to the brown line. I am able to do evening drop ins/walks and weekends are full availability. I do have a partner who is able to take care of our fur babies if I am needed for an over night adventure with someone else’s pet!
