Good afternoon everyone, my name is Alayna and I’ve been working with animals for over 10 years but have just recently join rover. I have experience with a variety of animals including, snakes, lizards/ geckos, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, horses, chickens, cats and dogs. A couple good reasons I stand out from everyone else is that I have experience administering medicine to animals, especially cats, because I’ve been fostering them for about 5 years and I also worked at a vet hospital as a kennel attendant meaning I’ve been around all sizes of dogs plus I’m pretty great at giving baths. Another reason is that I’ve actually owned all the animals I have listed here so I have plenty of experience.

When it comes to animal safety I’m all ears, especially when there’s more then one animal lose in the house. I take advice from the owners on how they’d like the animal to be kept such as if they wish to keep their pet in a room instead of free roam. When taking the animal outside, I will always be outside with them so no accidents are to happen. Before leaving the house, I always make sure to pick up or move anything the animal could reach they aren’t suppose to have and put it in a high or closed off area.

A typical day
I enjoy keeping animals active or calm depending on what they prefer. If it’s an animal that enjoys exercise then I’d try to take them on a walk or play with them outside. If it’s a more relaxed kind of temperament then lay in bed or floor and enjoy a movie.

Availability
I’m currently working full time as a receptionist at a vet hospital but I get an hour lunch break leaving me plenty of time the run back and take care of your fur baby’s as well as being available mornings and nights.
