Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Alauna and I love pets! I have been working for Rover since 2016. Through Chicago, Dallas and now for the last three and a half years back in my old Kentucky home. I have experience fostering and owning dogs as well as cats. I previously had two rescue dogs of my own and a rescue cat. I spend quite a bit of my time with repeat clients in and around Lexington including horse farms in midway, Versailles and Nicholasville and wonderful people in the thoroughbred industry. I love animals deeply! I have taken care of large dogs, small dogs, older dogs, and puppies, as well as cats of all ages. I am available almost all of the time for any services as I am currently working from home and it is extremely flexible. I will be with your fur babies at all times and send lots of photos. I will give them lots of cuddles, walks and playtime based upon their individual needs. I am also experienced with administering medications as well as medical issues and very well versed if there is ever a problem or an emergency. Alauna was an absolute godsend for us and our dogs. We were traveling for a week and had our usual sitter cancel last minute. We used Rover for the first time and found Alauna. She came over the next day, met the dogs and got familiar with the house. We have a dog with separation anxiety and an elderly dog and she showed true compassion and spent a lot of time with them! Our elderly dog's health got much worse in the time we were out of town and Alauna was a saint, she took everything in stride, cleaned up after her and took excellent care of her. I would highly recommend Alauna to anyone looking to have someone watch their dogs. She was reliable, caring and a great communicator!
Alauna and her brother, Shane were excellent in love and care for our crew. We traveled from out of town and needed someone in our hotel while we went out. It worked out beautifully
Alauna stayed at our house with our dogs while we were away. She was great! She sent updates and pictures pictures everyday, which we loved! We came home to a clean space as well. We highly recommend Alauna!

When I am house sitting as well as boarding/walking/doggy day care, I am extremely communicative. I send pictures, frequent updates, and make sure to get as much information as possible beforehand!

No breed preferences, just need to know if there are any dietary restrictions or other restrictions or special needs. Accustomed to administering medications, heart monitors, and potty training.
A typical day
We can take walks around the neighborhood, play fetch in the back fenced in yard, or play with toys all day! Cats and dogs are both very safe in the pet proofed home. There is a dog park nearby if you are interested in me taking them there, however I am very careful and wary if that is not something they are accustomed to. They can be let out as much as needed because of the fenced in back yard, I have lots of pet toys and beds. All pets are welcome on furniture unless they have arthritis or other restrictions of that nature. I am with the pets the entire time, and don't let them out of my sight!
