Pet care experience
I’ve cared for pets since I was 14. I’ve taken care of pets belonging to my teachers, family members, friends, and neighbors. I take it very seriously and am fully responsible for all of their needs. I provide a healthy and safe environment with plenty of room! Ever since I could remember I’ve been taking care of the family dog. I have experience with feeding, bathing, and even basic grooming. I’m also very experienced with cats and their delicate nature. I have experience caring for exotic pets and stay well informed due to my constant research. I’ve cared for bearded dragons, snakes, hermit crabs, ferrets, guinea pigs, mice, iguanas, bunnies, pigs, etc. I also have experience caring for sick pets, post surgery pets, and administering any medicine/foods necessary. I’ve cared for cats and dogs post surgery and have administered oral medication as well. I have experience training puppies and am constantly researching different methods/techniques for all different types of dogs. My dog Asher struggled with reactivity towards strangers when he was a puppy and I have actively worked with him to get him to be the secure dog he is today. I have knowledge/experience handling reactive dogs and am willing to do drop in visits/walks to assist if needed. I’m truly passionate about caring for animals and I’m just looking to help other owners do the same!

Alanis has dog sat my 3 small dogs for 2 days with incredible care. It was difficult to get them to want to leave after the 2 days because they seemed to love hanging out with her. It was an amazing experience for me as well because my dogs came back smelling fresh as Alanis also bathed my dogs. I will definitely keep going to her whenever I need a dog sitter as she is passionate and caring with my animals.
Alanis is great!!! She has taken care of my Baby (my 3 yr old chihuahua) on various occasions. She has been great with her, I have left my baby with her over night and on several occassion for a few nights and I have nothing but awesome things to say. My dog loves going to Alanis when I need a sitter. I recommend her and I will always use her services again.

I have a pretty large backyard. It’s fenced and reinforced with extra fencing in problematic areas to prevent those sneaky ones from escaping! I have a screened porch with tile flooring that includes a small pet door for pets to go in and out as desired since we open the sliding door whenever they sit by it. We monitor our pets’ time outside and reward the behavior often. There’s about 4 parks within walking distance which I often visit with my dogs Ginger and Asher. They’re both super friendly and playful and appreciate a well socialized dog. I maintain a routine of having morning walks and afternoon exercises with small breaks/short walks in between whenever possible. I give my pets/other’s pets plenty of attention and I’m always looking for fun ways to engage and connect via playing methods.

Before sitting a dog I would most like to know how they behave with other animals. I have 2 very friendly dogs and 2 cats, so it’s important for the dog to be good natured.
A typical day
I love playing outside in the yard with my dogs. I love playing fetch and running with them back and forth. I also love doing feeding puzzles, and playing hide and seek with treats/toys in different ways of engagement. They have a blast! I also take them on walks with me to the local parks. I keep treats handy and reward good behavior such as patience and listening skills. My family and I also LOVE giving cuddles. We’re very affectionate with all of our pets and give daily massages/belly rubs to all of them. They also have access to the yard whenever they please and access to the pet water fountain frequently.

Availability
My schedule is currently open since I’m working from home. I’m currently on-call with my job and have weekends off. I’m available for walks, potty breaks, in-house visits, etc.
