Pet care experience
I love all animals alike and believe in a calm and patient approach. Pets are family and their comfort is so important. I have experience with senior dogs, leash aggression, high-energy dogs, and pets who don’t like other animals. When it comes to cats I understand some are shy and some are outward. I know every animal needs something different based on your house rules, their personality, and their environment. Communication is everything-When I leave my pets I love getting updates and photos. It’s important to me that you can be present when you’re away from home so I’ll be sure to provide updates along the way.

Alana did a wonderful job with Theo! Her communication was amazing and Theo was relaxed when we came home so I could tell he was well taken care of. His coat looked great too so I could see that she brushed him. I will definitely use Alana again.

Alana is great with my dog, Franklin! She is excellent at communicating about scheduling and how each walk went. She always sends pictures, which is so thoughtful. I walk my dogs multiple times a day. We have a yard but they love adventure so we spend our time exploring as many parks as possible. One of my dogs is a rescue with a tough past, so I have plenty of experience with unique temperaments and difficult walkers. My dogs both have sensitive bellies so I am very comfortable following your food requirements and house rules. I also love bunnies and other pets!

I understand that your cat/dog/household have routines and I am happy to respect any information you provide! If you’re not home it is helpful to know where you store the leash, and how you lock up. If your dog has any sensitivities on walks, like other dogs or pedestrians or bicycles that is always great for me to know. Or if you have a pet who loves to dart out the door that’s always a nice warning to have.
A typical day
I want to provide what your dog needs most! I am happy to use toys, games, dog parks or long neighborhood walks to ensure your buddy is happy until you return. Depending on temperament, I am glad to change it up based on your home and your pet!
