I booked a house sitting with Alana and it was not a good experience. In my requests I asked for the start time to be between 2p-4p because I went out of town at 8a Sunday morning. Alana did not show up between that time and when I reached out at quarter to 5p, she said she would be there by 6:15. She did not show up by 6:15, or 6:30 but yet a quarter to 8p. During the meet and greet I made sure I asked if she had a regular 9-5 job and she stated no which gave me the impression that my dogs would have more free time. Both Monday and Tuesday my dogs were in their cages for 10+ hours. On Monday they did get two hours of free time, but Alana left and did not come back until a little after midnight. On Tuesday again they were in the cages for a little over 10 hours, Alana came back, let them out for 20 minutes, left again, and did not come back again until a little after midnight! I have a ring doorbell camera and multiple cameras inside to get these timeframes. I’m not sure where the disconnect was but again I asked for a house sitting and thought I made that clear seeing as I showed Alana where she would be sleeping but this service was more like drop ins! I picked Alana because her reviews were good but I had a very bad experience. I’ve been using Rover for years and this had to be one of my top three worst experiences! I did not want to say anything while I was out of town because I did not want her to just leave and not come back. I feel if there was any misunderstanding then I should’ve been contacted. Alana was friendly but I will definitely not be using her services going forward.
